Hodur has always thought of herself as a mistletoe quietly following the light, feeling worthless without the protection of the brightness that shelters her.

It has been a long time sine she joined the Aether Gazer, yet her Modifier ability tests have consistently yielded poor results.

Despite being familiar with everything in the Intelligence Office, when it comes to combat misisons, her chaostic thoughts always hinder her from providing the correct instructions in time, forcing her to reply on her sister's help.

The word "failure" seems to be a shadow tightly wrapped around her, impossible to shake off.

Now it's Hodur Arrival Day, and her sister Baldr pulls out a beautifully wrapped small box from behind her, containing a pair of gloves.

"Hodur, this is a gift for your Arrival Day!

" "Gloves. . . ? " "They are infused with my Divine Power.

Just silently say 'I can do it,' and you'll stabilize your mind and bring yourself good luck!

" "Really. . . ? Divne Power can do that.

. . ? " "Of course! When have i ever lied to you?

" Baldr's confident tone and bright smile dispelled Hodur's doubts, and she accepted her sister's kindness.

However, she always worried that the Divine Power attached to the gloves would be exhausted on trivial matters, so she hestitated to wear them.

Days later, an urgent mission fell to Hodur's shoulders, but her sister was away on duty, leaving her with no one to reply on but herself.

What would happen if she failed. . . ? Countless dark futures flashed through her mind, and Hodur's legs began to temble uncontrollably.

Just before she completely lost the strength to stand, she caught a glimpse of the small box on the table.

"I can do it. . . " Hodur took a deep breath, feeling the wramth from her palms, and those gloomy thoughts began to fade away.

Gradually regaining her composure, Hodur looked at the data panel, something she had spent countless nights familiarzing herself with.

The knowledge she had studied flowed out rhythmically like a melody, and her skillfully processed the constantly flashing data, givning precise instructions.

When she finally basked in the praise of her companions, Hodur snapped back to reality.

'Mission complete. . . ? Really, really.

. . ? " The pounding of her heart felt like a drum beating rapidly, a surge of indescribable exihilation filled her entire being.

With a mix of excitement and anxiety, Hodur, having completed the misison, entered the training ground for the upcoming Modifier ability test.

"I can do it. . . I can do it. . . " The hand holding the auxiliary device no longer tremble as it usually did, and her vision was clearer than ever.

Hodur easily broke her personal record. The parasite of failure was thus dispelled, and that day felt as smooth as a dream, with only the slight sting from her clenched fist reminding her that it was all real.

From then on, the gloves became Hodur's treasure, much like Cinderella's glass slipper.

When her sister returned, Hodur immediately expressed her gratitude, knowing that all she had achieved stemmed from the magic sister had given her.

"Sister, i completed the battlefield support for the last mission all by myself, and i also broke the record in the Modifier test.

. . all thanks to the gloves you gave me.

" "Hodur, it wasn't the gloves' merit; rather, there was no Divine Power in those gloves at all.

" "How is that possible? I not only completed the mission, but my tests results also.

. . " "Look, the Divine Power detector isn't reacting at all right?

" Baldr pointed the detector at the gloves, and the needle remained still.

'Then. . . Why did i. . . ? " The greatest effect of those gloves is that they made you believe in the magic spell.
