Is Kashino good?
Kashino's main claim to fame is a hidden mechanic tied to 
Shinano and 
Musashi: once either of them has her limit break maxed, having Kashino anywhere in the fleet lets her fire off her own special barrage ten seconds into the battle. Outside that specific interaction, she doesn't have much documented going for her.
Background
Kashino was an auxiliary ship designed to transport the Yamato-class' main battery from Kure Naval Arsenal to the shipyards building them.
This role is also reflected in her unique cargo.
After fulfilling that role, she was converted into an ammunition ship.
On Kashino's left, her rigging shows the empty mount for one of the turrets.
The mount on her right holds a turret with the guns stored underneath.
