Is Tirpitz good?
A battleship that fires torpedoes from the backline: every 15 seconds she launches 4 magnetic torpedoes with light homing, which adds damage and can catch suicide boats if the timing works out. Lonely Queen of the 
North gives her 30% more damage when she's the only battleship or battlecruiser in the main fleet, so she hits very hard next to two carriers or when farming on her own.
That condition limits the rest of the backline to carriers, aviation battleships, monitors and repair ships, but good options exist: 
Enterprise, 
Graf Zeppelin for Iron Blood damage reduction, 
Abercrombie for barrages and 
Akashi for healing. Her oil cost points her at hard maps and exercises.
Pairs well with: Enterprise; Graf Zeppelin; Abercrombie; Akashi.
