Wonder Woman is nearly impossible to bring down thanks to Amazon Goddess's defense boost stacking with her own shield skill, and she carries two rare forms of hard crowd control: a single-target stun in Lasso of Truth and an AoE stun in Bracelets of Submission that can shut down a whole enemy squad's skills at once. Her HP pool runs low for a Guardian, though, so she depends heavily on those shields, and burst Spiritual damage can cut straight through both the shields and her defense boost.

She's the backbone of an Amazons squad, works as a budget frontliner for Justice League, and slots into a budget Justice League Dark lineup alongside Doctor Fate.

Diana is the daughter of Hippolyta, Queen of the Amazons, a race of immortal warrior women who live on the island of Themyscira, which is protected and hidden by the Olympian goddesses.

Blessed by the Greek gods, Diana was granted powers beyond even the mightiest of Amazons.

The curious young girl wondered about life beyond Themyscira, but her mother warned her the outside world was a place of violence that the Amazons had left long ago.

Then, one day, a plane piloted by Captain Steve Trevor crashed on Themyscira.

Diana saved him from the burning aircraft.

He was the first man she had ever seen. The semiconscious Trevor muttered warnings of danger in the world outside.

Hippolyta realized that the Amazons were under threat if discovered and pondered what to do with their foreign visitor who had washed up upon their home.

The Amazons held a tournament to determine who would be the one to take Steve Trevor back to Man's World.

However, the protective Hippolyta would not allow her daughter Diana to compete with the other Amazons.

So, Diana put on a disguise and won the tournament, only then revealing her identity.

Hippolyta had to admit her daughter was worthy and grant her the bracelets, tiara, and uniform of the Amazons' champion, along with Hestia's Lasso of Truth, which compels anyone touching it to tell the truth.

Diana would be the first Amazon to enter the world of men in ages.

As the ambassador from Themyscira, Wonder Woman arrived to great interest from the public, to represent the philosophies of the Amazons to the world and promote peace.

In addition to being the ambassador, Diana is also the superhero Wonder Woman, battling adversaries The Cheetah, Circe, and Ares, the God of War, whose machinations were behind the danger Steve warned of.

She joined the Justice League and found allies in the likes of Superman and Batman.

She also found love with Steve Trevor, although at times they have separated due to loyalties to their different homelands.

Donna Troy, a young woman who intended to destroy Wonder Woman and was given powers like hers, was instead taken in by the Amazons.

Wonder Woman became her mentor. Donna took the name Wonder Girl and joined the Teen Titans.

Cassie Sandsmark, the daughter of Wonder Woman's friend, gained powers from mystic artifacts and became Wonder Girl for a period as well.

When the Amazons had to enter a mystical dimension to revitalise their magic, Diana chose to remain on Earth.

As a result, Diana lost her powers but did not give up fighting evil.
