Kestrel's full name is Sybil Tan.
Background
A founding member of S. T. R. I. K. E. , Kestrel uses her portal gun to prevent enemies from summoning and blast the weakest target among them.
Sybil Tan spent several years at U. S. Space Command and NASA under the callsign "Kestrel," before being recruited by Nick Fury to spearhead a new project that ultimately formed the foundation of S.
T. R. I. K. E. 's interdimensional technology.
Kestrel volunteered to be the first person to go through S.
T. R. I. K. E. ’s prototype portal generator, but it suffered a catastrophic failure and she found herself drifting in the space between realities.
Kestrel passed through the Quantum Realm before finding her way back to a parallel Earth, far from her home timeline.
This experience allowed her to sense when timelines could split, and she developed the ability to manipulate events in order to cause new timelines to form -- meaning Kestrel could affect the outcome of seemingly random events.
Kestrel jumped from one dimension to the next, trying to find her home world, but instead discovered worlds already conquered by Ultimus.
She helped those conquered worlds before finally reuniting with S.
T. R. I. K. E. and Nexus Earth.
