Sysop

Sysop is an SSR character in Counter:Side. Faction: The Dark Council.

ChairmanSysop is a Terrabrain created by the Administrator.

Like Sigma, he developed his own unique personality and recognizes his creator as a his father.

Unlike his sister, though, Sysop possesses a physical and artificially-made body instead a holographic one projected by his Terrabrain.

He is currently the Chairman of the Dark Council and majority shareholder of Future-At-War.

Being a Terrabrain created by the Administrator, Sysop is similar to Sigma in that they both recognize their creator as their "father" and support his work and agenda.

However, unlike his "sister," Sysop is much more mature, calm and collected and has a more critical view of their creator.

He sees the Administrator as "near-perfect" but flawed because there is always something keeping the latter from going all the way through with his ultimate goal of saving the world.

For this reason, he is willing to take more or less extreme measures the Administrator would normally disapprove of or push him into taking further action in order to fulfill that goal, making him more similar to Na Yubin.

Of course, this means he prefers to work in his creator's shadow— laying low while keeping an eye on him.

Since he is a literal computer, Sysop is an unfathomably intelligent entity who can predict the outcome of innumerable possibilities.

His actions are dependent solely on the calculations he makes and he refrains from intervening in any events in order to ensure the results come out as he expects.

In the occasional moments where he does step in, he makes certain beforehand that his interference will not affect the event in any way.

Sysop has a polite demeanor and refrains from antagonizing people he interacts with.

As the chairman of the Dark Council, he usually does not participate in any operations himself but instead supports his partners by directing them to objectives.

While he maintains an overall healthy relationship with each of his colleagues, Sysop is frequently seen as condescending by his fellow Council members because of his calculating personality.

Indeed, there have been times Sysop has treated his colleagues like pawns— some of whom he ruthlessly disposed of after determining them to be no longer useful, such as the Gambler and Madam Heron.

By his own admission, Sysop is not always comprehensive about his own emotions and the bonds he makes with others because "the concept of 'affection' was never taken into account when I was created.

Sysop may not be outright nefarious, but his utilitarian viewpoint is so robotic that even his criminal partners find his methodology to be utterly insane.

In his mission to instill hope in all of humanity, for example, he intricately set off a complex chain of events—many of which had destructive results on their own—that culminated in the brief appearance of a Demon Lord (albeit a dormant on

e); according to him, by revealing a powerful threat like Leviathan to the world before concealing it just as abruptly, humanity will be reminded that there is still hope that they will be able to stand up, fight for their dreams and make the world better.

All throughout, Sysop saw nothing wrong with his scheme and even felt complimented when the Mansion Master lambasted him as crazy.
