Anne Bonny and Mary Read were female pirates during the Age of Exploration. The two met by chance and served under the pirate Captain John Rackham. It's said that Anne was a master of the gun, and Mary charged the decks of enemy ships with her cutlass.

Anne was born to a wealthy family, but was always violent and ended up together with a thug. When she broke up with him she raised her pirate flag with John Rackham. One day, during a raid on a Dutch ship, she met Mary Read, who had snuck aboard as a man.

Anne and Mary, partially because they're both women, got along very well, and formed a pirate duo.
They were the two fiercest fighters on John Rackham's ship, according to multiple eyewitness testimonies.
