Introduction

Coward is an SR Constitution character in Sea of Remnants. Coward's role is Survival. Faction: Ravensk.

Sea of Remnants isn't out globally yet, so this page is from the Chinese release. No global date has been announced.

On our Sea of Remnants tier list Coward is B tier, 16th of the 23 characters ranked.

Other Constitution characters in Sea of Remnants: Steely General.

Is Coward good?

Coward is a Constitution tank who gets braver the more he's hit. Every attack he takes removes a stack of Timidity; at zero he casts the Personal Skill for free, starts taking 30% of the team's damage and shields himself, and the Signature Skill shields everyone.

He's the usual stand-in when you don't have Steely General, but he needs enemies to actually attack him to get going.

Strengths

  • Takes a share of the damage aimed at fragile allies
  • Team-wide shield on the Signature Skill
  • Free Personal Skill every time Timidity runs out

Weaknesses

  • Slow to start when enemies ignore him
  • Heavy hits can drop him before Timidity runs out without outside healing or shields

Profile

Coward is the scout of the Daybreakers. Coward's favourite food is milk. Coward was released on 9 July 2026.

Background

The Daybreakers' scout, who openly admits he's a coward.

Stories

Crew story I

A soldier of the Daybreaker fleet. A, um, not very serious Sea Hawk.

"Who's Travis? Here, this skinny guy in the Sea Hawk uniform with shields hanging all over him." A loud sea hamster threw an arm round Travis's shoulders and hauled him into the ice bar. "He's our brother, the Coward!"

"A Sea Hawk? This guy's all talk and scared of dying. If he's a Sea Hawk, then everyone in here is a Sea Hawk!" They pointed at Travis's uniform and roared with laughter.

"Forget all that, today I'm here to drink coconut milk with my brothers!" Travis raised his cup high and grinned his way past the dangerous subject.

"But I really am one," the Coward muttered to himself.

Crew story II

There's a "legendary" Sea Hawk on this sea: ten years in the service, no medals, and not one injury.

"You either steer clear of the sea hamsters or wave the white flag and beg. You're a disgrace to the Sea Hawks! You're worse than a sea rat!" His comrades never hid their contempt.

"The world doesn't have that many knights and heroes. I'm just an ordinary guy. Throw my life away? What for?" Travis lay on the deck, waved them off, and went on sunbathing.

He knew he wasn't the hero of this world, just a crewman nobody would miss.

Slack off, eat for free, wait to be discharged, go back to an ordinary life, marry an ordinary wife, have an ordinary child, and wait for an ordinary life to end: that's the life of a bit player.

The hero dreams of his youth wore away long ago, over ten years of drifting with every day the same as the last.

So what keeps him lying on a Sea Hawk deck? Even the "legendary deserter" isn't quite sure.
