Hungry Cat
SSR/Perception/Support / Sub DPSA tier
Introduction
Hungry Cat is an SSR Perception character in Sea of Remnants. Hungry Cat's role is Support / Sub DPS. Faction: Ottopia.
Sea of Remnants isn't out globally yet, so this page is from the Chinese release. No global date has been announced. Hungry Cat is our translation of 饿猫, until the official English name is out.
On our Sea of Remnants tier list Hungry Cat is A tier, 12th of the 23 characters ranked. Claw marks raise the damage enemies take, which almost any damage dealer can use, and follow-up attacks add more on top.
Other Perception characters in Sea of Remnants: Edward, Hayha and Watchmaker.
Is Hungry Cat good?
Hungry Cat is a Perception support who makes every enemy take more damage. Her follow-ups hit the whole enemy team and stack Claw Marks, which grow with every other negative effect on the target, and at the cap her Signature Skill adds Brittle Bones so each later hit deals extra damage.
Build Rumbling Tummy with Enhancement Dice or the Personal Skill, stack Claw Marks to three, then cast the Signature Skill and let multi-hit teammates go to work.
Strengths
- Raises damage taken on every enemy, growing with other debuffs
- Brittle Bones turns each later attack into extra damage
- Fits almost any damage dealer
Weaknesses
- Follow-ups slow down when the team can't supply Enhancement Dice
- Weaker in teams that apply no other negative effects
- Brittle Bones needs follow-up attacks to pay off

Stories
2Crew story I
The Wanderer's foodie, who gets nasty when she's hungry. And damn it, she's never not hungry!
"Never bother her while she's eating. Last time I just leaned over to see what she had and she thought I was after her food. I got scratched to pieces!" The sea hamster rolled up his sleeve to show the claw marks on his arm.
"That's nothing!" Another sea hamster curled his lip. "One time the kitten went nuts, grabbed the wheel and steered us out to the deep sea, all because she wanted to know what a giant sea anemone tastes like. The captain and the first mate together couldn't stop her!"
"And? Did the cat and the ship come to a bad end?"
"Ha, turns out giant anemone meat isn't bad at all. We hauled back the tentacles she didn't finish and sold them for a fortune!"
Crew story II
In the dead of night, after quietly prying open the fishing crew's storehouse, Hilda finally buried her face in a heap of seafood.
"Sail with the Wanderer and you miss nine meals in three days!" She tore off a huge chunk of tuna in disgust and, before she'd swallowed it, crammed two squid tentacles in after it.
Then she scooped up a spoonful of caviar and popped it in her mouth with a contented sigh. "Day before yesterday it was sour rotten fish. Yesterday it was rock-hard black bread. It's a miracle that crew's still alive."
She was chewing happily with her legs crossed when something rustled behind her, and Hilda's fur stood on end. She whipped her head round: a scrawny little kitten had appeared by the door.
"Where did you come from, poor thing? You're so thin your fur's all matted."
She put her claws away and tossed it two fat fish.
The kitten gave a mew and called a whole crowd of strays, and in an instant the fish disappeared under a sea of fluffy heads.
Hilda stared for a while, then hastily wiped her mouth, grabbed an empty sack and started stuffing seafood into it by the handful.
"Fine, I'll bring some back for that lot. Otherwise who's going to sail me out tomorrow to taste a sea monster?"
