Biography

"Blessings upon you, and radiance upon the 'world'..."

An Umamusume who (according to herself) bears the destiny to arrive at an "otherworld" one day, where she will become a highly revered saintess.

She's often seen uttering such remarks as "Alack, it all must be an ordeal, a 'trial of the saintess' I must overcome to ascend to that 'world'—so overcome it I shall," while sipping a cup of latte made by her senior she admires.

Appearance

A fair skinned Umamusume, Red Desire has deep cherry red hair that extends down to her midsection, cut off bluntly.

Two chunks of her hair extend outwards around the middle of her head, also cut bluntly.

Her eyes are a pale yellow tone with prominent eyebags underneath.

Her face is framed on both sides by her hair, a loose strand curling out and leftwards from her bangs.

A large, curled ahoge sticks out from the top of her head.

She wears a dark red, almost gothic hairband adorned with intricate gold patterns on top.

White frills come from the underside and two diamond shaped jewels (presumably) come from under the headband, resting on her bangs.

The headband extends downwards on both sides of her head, undersides white with gold diamonds and two five-pointed stars hanging from them by golden beads.

Black lace covers the base of her left ear.

Her tail is neatly kept.

Her race outfit carries a similar theme to her already mentioned accessories, familiar diamond and gold patterns making a return.

She wears a short, patterned cape, small gold necklace wrapping around the collar of it, the same cylindrical teal accessory that Manhattan Cafe wears on her right ear attached to it.

The underside of the cape has a black, curvy pattern around the trim, golden diamonds visible above it.

She wears a ruffled shirt under the cape, red lace adorning the middle.

She wears long sleeves that puff outwards before tucking into cuffs, golden buttons on either side.

Frilly, white armcuffs rest on her upper arms, a black bow in the middle of either.

She wears a layered corset skirt, a large white bow offset to the right on her midsection and wrapped around, white and red ruffles extending from it.

The bow has another five-pointed star resting firmly in the center.

Gold patterns rest on three pleats on the right side of the skirt, the last and innermost layer being an off-black.

She wears floral patterned stockings, off-black frills at the top of them, that are held up by garters.

Layered on top of her stockings are shin-high socks, a dark red bow resting at the top.

Diamond patterns are cut down the middle of the socks, gold lacing them, ending at the bridge of her feet.

Finally, she wears simple, red Mary Jane shoes, black bows on the outer sides of the straps.

Buena Vista - Friend and rival. Though not fully understanding Red Desire's oddities, Buena Vista gets along with her quite well.

Red Desire views her as the "absolute heroine" of the world, and wishes to surpass her in races.

IRL, the two raced each other during their classic years.

While Buena Vista beat her in both the Oka Sho and Japanese Oaks, Red Desire prevented Buena Vista from winning the Triple Tiara by narrowly beating her in the Shuka Sho.

Manhattan Cafe - Friend and upperclassman.

Red Desire admires her, and looks up to her as a fellow Umamusume who can also sense other worlds.

Manhattan Cafe mentors her, and as a stayer she helps Red Desire out with longer races like the Japanese Oaks.

They both drink coffee together from time to time.

IRL, Red Desire was sired by Manhattan Cafe.

Vodka - Friend and idol. Red Desire admires her as well, and idolizes her deeply.

Vodka finds Red Desire to be cool, and they both get along as fellow "outcasts".

Vodka encourages Red Desire to be herself, and to take on the world with her.

IRL, the two raced each other twice in their careers.

They both ventured to Dubai to pursue the Dubai World Cup, only for Vodka to be withdrawn after the Al Maktoum Challenge R3 due to a nosebleed.

With Vodka leaving Dubai early, staff posted a picture of Vodka in front of Red Desire's stable to ease off her loneliness during that time.

Admire Groove - Roommates. Red Desire tends to pray for Admire Groove before sleeping, much to the annoyance of Admire Groove herself.

Despite Admire Groove's personality, Red Desire believes that she's a nice girl deep down.

Dream Journey - Friend. She helps Red Desire by giving her advice on overseas racing, and they both relate to each other as racers who have a major dream.

While Red Desire dreams of taking on overseas races so that she could gain glory as a saint, Dream Journey dreams of reaching Stay Gold by racing.

Victoire Pisa - Friend. As Umamusume who both strive to be kind to others, they bond well.

Red Desire finds Pisa's angelic behavior inspiring and saint-like, while Pisa views her as a sweet and helpful friend.

Red Desire is also considerate of the games they play together, as she actively takes out connection puzzles so that Pisa won't be upset.

Transcend - Friend. From time to time, she hands Transcend snacks.

Transcend also gets surprised by Red Desire's hidden strength on dirt tracks, since she usually runs on turf.

Nakayama Festa - Friend. Red Desire sees Nakayama as someone who gives her ‘divine protection’ as Nakayama would always look out for her.

Tosen Jordan - Friend.

Transcend, Nakayama, and Jordan are apart of the same generation of 2009.

Though Red Desire has only raced against Jordan two times, as Nakayama focused more on overseas racing later on in his career and Transcend primarily raced on dirt.

Lucky Lilac - Friend. Red Desire believes that Lala's mannerisms are saintlike, which she approves of.

Lala, despite finding Red Desire's beliefs strange, is uplifted by her positivity.

She offers to help Red Desire out with her potions sometimes.
