The Path to Freedom

Born to a Medjay of Siwa, Bayek inherited from his father not only the mantle, but the duty to protect his people and work for their well-being.

He lived a quiet life with his wife, Aya of Alexandria, until their son's death shattered that life and drove them apart.

Driven by grief, Bayek set out to hunt those responsible, gradually uncovering a secret organization known as the Order of the Ancients, and tracking its members across Egypt.

Yet as his search continued, he came to realize that the men behind his son's death were only a fragment of a far greater conspiracy-one that had long been manipulating Egypt from the shadows.

What began as a quest for vengeance gradually became something more.

Reunited with Aya, Bayek continued his path alongside her.

Working with Cleopatra VII, they helped clear the path for her return to the throne.

Through targeted assassinations, he struck down members of the Order one after another.

But once in power, Cleopatra again fell under the Order's influence, and their alliance ultimately collapsed.

Realizing the struggle would outlast any ruler or single victory, Bayek, together with Aya, gathered allies and founded the Hidden Ones, dedicating themselves to opposing tyranny from the shadows and protecting the freedom of the people.

They remained hidden, so that their fight could not be named, bound, or broken.

Their creed would echo through history as the foundation of the Brotherhood of Assassins.

Order of the Duat

As a Medjay, Bayek came to Thebes and the Valley of the Kings to investigate the curse spreading across Egypt.

He had always believed that no one could escape the weighing Of the heart.

That belief was shaken when the blind oracle Nena spoke of a soul attempting to enter the Duat against natural order.

He followed Nena's guidance and took part in a ritual to Stop the soul's passage into the afterlife.

During the ritual, the soul was identified as Lucius Septimius, a member Of the Order Of the Ancients.

With the matter concluded, he was granted the Servant of Amun outfit.

The outfit reflects the garments of priests devoted to Amun.

For Bayek, it stood as a reminder of his role as a Medjay, who acts to preserve Order where it is threatened.
