Profile

Count Dracula's full name is Vlad Draculea. Count Dracula carries the title "The Dark Prince / The Red Prince / Lord of the Night". Count Dracula is a male Nosferatu (vampire).

Background

"It is peculiar, the way time ebbs and flows once one is released from the great cycle.

As the urgency of death fades, life, if it can still be called such, acquires a new and terrible flavor.

For without fear of death, what then compels the soul to act, to create, to seek meaning in the long hours between dusk and dawn?

Alas, friend—it is hunger. Eternal hunger." —From the Journal of Vlad Draculea

As the science of man cannot fully articulate the birth of reason, nor the dawn of the spirit, so too are the Nosferatu veiled in mystery.

For, exactly at which hour does man cease to be man, and become beast, demon, or devil?

The truth, as always, remains a matter of interpretation.

And yet history records, with some measure of certainty, that between his deposition and dreaded return, the man once known as Vlad Draculea ceased to be.

What returned in his stead was no longer bound by mortal thought or virtue.

It was a being of exquisite terror—an amalgam of grievance, wrath, and unholy desire.

His will was contagion, his gaze an affliction that possessed the mind.

None dared speak his name for fear it might answer.

Instead, it was whispered with trembling unease: Count Dracula.

Over time, nations rose and empires fell, but the Draculs persisted, the Count's castle standing stark over the mountaintops of Transylvania, guarded yet inviting, hidden yet haunting.

His rule was a curse, a specter of the past shrouding the land in fear, binding it to fealty, yet each year found him more detached, his essence more estranged.

Fear had become dull, and blood had become dry; Transylvania, the land of his forefathers, whose mighty mountains kept empires at bay, quietly slipped into solitude, forgotten by the great civilizations, and its suffering no longer stirred his interest.

Yet the hunger endured. Dracula's attention turned outward—to vast continents whispered in the dying tongues of pilgrims and vagabonds.

He found it at last, at the rim of the realm, a land beneath skies bruised violet, with soil that bled.

Its shores festered, and yet he saw no blight, only promise: Tya, an unspoiled gem, where decay and rebirth danced as one.

It was there, in the Sanguis Mountains, that he established a new dominion.

Cold, deliberate, absolute. From its cradle of black stones, he spawned the first of his brood, bound to his thirst and sustained by his will.

Yet, the scent of his passage and newly sired kin has drawn another to Tya's shores: Van Helsing, the eternal pursuer.

He has followed the trail of desecration across land and sea like a hound of hell tasked with retrieving the devil himself.

Whether he shall at last find Dracula's quarry remains to be seen, for the mountains keep secrets well.

Still, when the wind moans through their passes, it carries a whisper that chills the soul—measured, patient, and endless.

Dracula. Eternal, undying.

Pierre's and Praetus' apprances at the end of the Sanguine event suggest that Pierre may have played a role in connecting Tya and Transylvania.

It also indicates that both Pierre and Praetus were patrons of Dr.

Van Helsing, the people who originally commissioned him to imprison Count Dracula.
