Khamet was ruthless from the moment he ascended to the status of Pharaoh, claiming the seat on the throne to be his divine right.

In his mind, he was a god, and therefore capable of taking the world by storm in any manner he deemed fitting.

But when the borders of his kingdom came under constant duress from invading forces, his people began to question his self-proclaimed immortal power.

Their doubts drove him mad, with even he himself beginning to question his own divinity.

With the threat of insurrection looming, the Pharaoh pondered a course of action from the comfort of his opulent palace.

A suggestion put forth by an advisor would ultimately prove his downfall.

Legends told of a djinn sequestered in the heart of the desert.

If Khamet could survive a journey to discover it, he hoped to bend the djinn to his will.

He walked alone for a fortnight as advised, nearly perishing at the hand of the unforgiving sun.

With his last reserves of strength fleeting, the spectral djinn finally appeared.

In a grating voice unlike any the Pharaoh had ever heard, the djinn demanded to know what warranted its disturbance.

With a booming, volatile voice, Khamet demanded i the djinn submit to him.

Silence washed over the sand. Suddenly, the djinn's voice changed, its tone almost...

amused.

Khamet would be granted three wishes. Astonished by the ease at which the djinn relented, but nonetheless proud of himself, he listed his demands: godliness beyond doubt, the unquestioned loyalty of his people, and the strongest borders for his kingdom in all of Tya.

If the djinn had any facial features, it might have grinned.

"I shall make you a god the likes of which none have ever seen," it said.

Naive to the devious characteristics of djinns, Khamet was woefully unprepared for what was to come, for the Pharaoh's wishes came with sinister caveats.

Though immortality washed over him, he was transformed into an undead revenant so grotesque that no words could encompass his features.

His people? Turned into hideous ghouls who would follow their Pharaoh mindlessly.

Finally, the borders of his kingdom were reinforced as demanded...

to keep anyone from leaving.

But the mischievous djinn underestimated the rage of the abomination he created.

After crushing the deceitful spirit in his gnarled hands, Khamet returned to the cursed city to which he was now bound as a god of blood and sand.

It is there he commands an army of walking nightmares to this very day.

In the depths of the netherworld, Khamet exists in his truest form as the Eternal Wraith.

Before clawing his way back into the realm of the living, the Pharaoh harnessed the torment of his people, ruling as a ghastly figure of royal terror.

In this dark limbo, Khamet reigns supreme, his essence unbound by flesh.

His skeletal form glows with an eerie blue-green light beneath a tattered cloak, his bones pulsating with the power of the damned.

A storm of screaming spirits surrounds him in a cacophony of agony, bound to his infernal will.

His massive scythe, forged from the essence of suffering, cleaves through the ether as easily as living flesh.

Khamet's dominion over his cursed kingdom is absolute, but he seeks to extend his dark rule beyond the confines of this shadowed realm.

His return to Tya promises an age where death itself bends to his will.
