On the outskirts of the prospering Yalnor Kingdom, there lived a pellar named Nastya.

To most, she was a mystery—her small, unassuming cottage was draped in herbs and charms, its walls steeped in the scent of incense and distant storms.

Those who dared approach spoke in whispers, for Nastya was a diviner, a seer of secrets not meant for mortal minds.

Many believed her touch to be a blessing, while others feared what she might uncover in the threads of fate.

Her predictions, often cryptic, had guided the village for years, and though her words were shrouded in riddles, they had never once failed.

For years, she was sought by the lowliest peasants and the highest nobles alike.

When crops failed, they sought her blessings.

When wars loomed, they asked for her insight.

But it was not until the day a desperate nobleman appeared at her door, his young daughter stricken by a wasting sickness, that the threads of fate began to unravel.

He begged her to save the girl, to peer into the flames and find a way to bring her back from the brink of death.

Nastya looked into the girl's future and saw something that turned her blood to ice.

If the child were spared, she would grow into a force of unspeakable horror, leaving death and ruin in her wake.

With this knowledge, Nastya knew she could not save her.

In secret, during the ritual meant to heal, she took the girl's life quietly and humanely, while drawing the child's blood into her own so that some small, pure part of the girl might remain.

The noble, having no idea that Nastya had acted to save the kingdom from a darker fate, branded her a witch feeding off innocent life.

With the incensed villagers rallying behind him, the notion of blood for blood became the only pact which would satiate them.

The witch must be culled.

And so, In the center of the town, Nastya was strung up, an iron maiden placed around her chest.

In a dream-like daze, she gazed at all those who had once loved her, their faces contorted like snarling wolves as they howled for her end.

In silence, she bled for them, until the cobblestones were coated in crimson.

But death, like fate, was not so simple for Nastya.

The poisonous mingling of her blood with the cursed child's, combined with the agony of her slow death, birthed something else.

Nastya returned as a twisted, vengeful spirit, her divining powers amplified by the pain she had endured.

Now known as the Iron Maiden, she channels her endless torment into power, relishing the pain that fuels her abilities.

In visions of fire and ruin, she's foreseen the fall of Yalnor.

Do not think for a moment that she will stand by as it burns—No.

She intends to orchestrate its demise.

"The Iron Maiden" brought her vengeance to the scholar city of The Yalnor Kingdom.

Her target was a magic stone hidden within a magically warded vault: the Radiant Crystal.

Originating from the core of fallen meteorites, only a rare few possess such condensed energy, granting the user the ability to perceive and wield the power of the cosmos.

Nastya had long foreseen this day. Every drop of blood, every agony, and every moment of torment was meant to align the path Of destiny with her prophecy.

Having already acquired the power of prophecy and the blood of calamity, she finally obtained this missing fragment, the Radiant Crystal.

As the celestial energy within it surged through her body, the steel spikes driven deep into her flesh began to fall away, and diamond-like frost gradually covered her unhealing wounds.

Her blind eyes could now peer into the secrets of the firmament, and her lips would speak of the future guided by the starlit veil.

In that moment, Nastya was reborn.
