Imagine for a moment that you receive word of an impending attack on a small village by a heinous force that’s been terrorizing the countryside for months.

If you reinforce the village with troops, the invaders will take notice, calling off the advance.

But for how long? And where might they strike next?

Alternatively, you could allow the attack to commence and launch a counterstrike on the headquarters of the invaders while simultaneously cutting off their retreat.

The village and all of its occupants would surely perish, but the invading threat would be eliminated.

Not an easy decision, yet these are the exact kind that Praetus, the Sun Supreme, is faced with on an hourly basis.

Long ago, an organization of guardians called the Collective watched over the realm, striving for balance amongst all of Tya’s inhabitants.

Then came the great schism. Many of the Collective took to practicing dark magic to combat impending evils, ultimately forming the Chaos Dominion.

But a far more principled group splintered off as well.

They were known as The Supreme Arbiters.

Praetus was a paragon of equilibrium, embodying unyielding loyalty to the balance and safeguarding of the realm.

With an unassuming presence, he rallied a group of like-minded individuals who shared in his vision and ultimately helped form the Arbiters.

In the first year of his leadership, Tya knew stability like never before.

The Chaos Dominion was held in check, and order rang true.

But it wouldn’t take long for some Arbiters to begin questioning Praetus's methods.

A shadow was cast over the Sun Supreme’s initial benevolence due to his unyielding pursuit of order, and what had once been seen as dedication took on a more ominous hue.

In his quest to maintain balance, Praetus became increasingly ruthless, resorting to extreme measures to curb even the slightest dissent.

His once-loyal followers watched in unease as the leader they admired became a tyrant willing to sacrifice individual liberties for the sake of the greater good.

Despite all criticisms, the Sun Supreme retains his role as a leader of the Arbiters.

Unwavering in his beliefs, Praetus would rather die than give way to disorder.

Love him or otherwise, he just may be one of Tya’s only hopes against The Chaos Dominion.

The Twilight Sun

In a dusk-shaded future, Praetus now reigns as the Twilight Sun.

Bereft of his former radiance, his visage now reflects an enigmatic darkness that has slowly seeped into his very thoughts.

Like the shadow of the sun, his oppressive nature casts a dark tone, his features etched with the burdens of his ruthless pursuit of balance.

As years of conflict waged on, Praetus became consumed by his thirst for control, believing that only through domination could true order be achieved.

Allies turned wary, while the innocent were bound tightly to his reign.

With a steeled heart, Praetus commands what remains of the Arbiters, united solely by the dread of his wrath.

Alas, the true cost of order has rendered the realm immure, each bended knee weighed against the hope of balance, now more elusive than ever.

The Twilight Sun's legacy teeters on the brink, casting a long shadow over the future of Tya.

Celestial Order

Praetus finally transcended the shackles of mortality.

He offered himself as the final sacrifice, forging his entire will into a star to hang forever in the zenith of Tya's sky.

Now, he is both order and Tya's shield—his starlight has transformed into a guardian force against threats from beyond the world.

The mortals below see only an undying, cold light added to the night sky.

Only The Supreme Arbiters understand that every flicker is a ripple caused by the power of the Ancient God impacting Tya.

Praetus no longer rules, nor does he arbitrate.

In the most absolute way, silent and resolute, he fulfills his original oath: to become Tya's never-falling firmament, at the cost of himself.
