Wuthering Waves reroll guide

Rerolling Wuthering Waves costs 30 to 40 minutes a try with no guest login, and the odds of a 5-star in the first pulls are low. If you reroll anyway, Verina and Encore are the standard 5-stars to hope for.

Best standard 5-stars

  • Verina

    S5-star / Support and Healer

    Heals, raises the whole team's ATK and damage, and can stop an ally from dying once. She fits almost every team, which makes her the safest pick in the standard pool.

  • Encore

    B5-star / Main Damage Dealer

    A Fusion main damage dealer with big burst windows during her ultimate. Easy to play, with cheap team options, and strong in Tower of Adversity.

Fine if you get them

  • Jianxin

    D5-star / Support and Healer

    Groups enemies, shields and heals herself, so she handles the open world alone. She finds less use in the hardest content.

  • Calcharo

    C5-star / Main Damage Dealer

    An Electro main damage dealer with high damage if you master the hardest rotation in the game, and little AoE.

  • Lingyang

    D5-star / Main Damage Dealer

    A flying melee damage dealer, fun to play but behind Encore in damage and awkward to control in the air.

Which limited characters a new account can pull for depends on the banners running now.

Not worth rerolling for

Skip the weapon banner on a new account: 4-star weapons do the job early on.

How to reroll

  1. 1Make an account with a new email address. There's no guest login; only the dot trick works for reusing a Gmail address ([email protected]), not +.
  2. 2Follow the main quest only: meet Yangyang and Chixia, beat the Crownless, reach Jinzhou and go to Huaxu Academy. Convene unlocks after the tutorial pull that gives you Baizhi, about 30 to 40 minutes in.
  3. 3Claim everything in your mail.
  4. 4Pull on the permanent character banner first, so a lucky 5-star there comes on top of the Novice Convene, which guarantees one within 50 pulls.
  5. 5No Verina or Encore? Log out and start again with another address.
