Is Olstein good?
Olstein's damage skills are cheap and wide-ranging, an easy pick for utility. Monster Scholar feeds allies SP while draining the enemy's, and its four-turn silence can shut down a whole wave of dangerous skills at once, though the damage is negligible and the five-turn cooldown makes it a poor fit for boss fights.
Azure Cloud Taoist strips buffs and applies an attack or magic debuff depending on the target, useful against either kind of enemy, though its short uptime and long cooldown mean it can't be leaned on constantly. His item-gathering talent, unique to him at launch, is worth using daily for efficient farming.

Background
Olstein is a reclusive monster scholar. His hobby is studying cat behavior, and he treasures fine parchment and his handmade fountain pen; misusing the power of darkness is what he can't stand. A vow made among three people matters most to him. Rumor has it his left arm is a prosthetic, lost long ago while trying to save someone named Lu, which would explain why Lu is so attached to him. Others have caught him at home playing with a cat toy and calling out a cat's name, pretending not to notice he'd been spotted.
