In order to help make some extra money due to financial problems, Gilles got involved with his friend, a priest named François Prelati, and worked with Alchemy. But at some point he forgot about his original focus and started trying to summon a demon.

There was worry that Gilles would start selling his territories to the enemy to raise money, so his evil deeds were used as an excuse to forfeit his lands, and he was put to death. The attacks on his treacherous evil deeds and blasphemy were nothing more than political theater.

He praised God too much, and as a result, began to doubt. He is a man that became obsessed with cursing God and denouncing Him. In the end, he met his own ruin without God judging him.
