Iskandar is the Persian name of Alexander III. He is also known by the name Dhul-Qarnayn, or "he of the two horns."
Stories of his expedition to the East echoed throughout the world of Islam where they become heroic legends, spreading throughout Asia.

He earned the title of Pharaoh in Egypt, and defeated the powerful Persian kingdom, building a huge empire that reached all the way to distant India.
