Betting with God to see if Dr. Faust could be corrupted, he tried to pull Faust to the path of evil.

Mephistopheles successfully turned Faust evil through many means. However, before Faust's soul was condemned to hell he was saved by his loved ones.
Oh how wonderful! What a happy ending!
