Cú Chulainn, the great hero of the Ulster Cycle, as he was during his training days. He is physically younger and less mature than his manifestation as Lancer or Caster. Instead, he possesses the unlimited potential of a boy who continually strives to one day become a hero.

Sétanta hardly mentions the puppy that appears with him in battle. Could the pup be the offspring of the savage guard dog he once fought and killed, or perhaps it's the spirit of the ferocious dog possessing him, in miniature?

This Sétanta has yet to recognize the warrior's name of Cú Chulainn (Hound of Culann) as his own. He earned this name in the legend of his battle against Culann's ferocious guard dog. Why? Because Scáthach, the Queen of the Land of Shadows, and peerless spearman, continues to call him Sétanta without a second thought... Uh, yeah, that's probably why.

He may not remember a great deal about his future self, but he is generally aware of the myths about him. However, contrary to young Alexander, who manifested with a similar Spirit Origin state, Sétanta declares, "I don't care if it's history or human history, I make my own future. Medb? There's no way I'm going to let her kill me!"

He's really in denial about his own future. To hell with Medb.

Sétanta is keenly aware that he is a member of the Red Branch Knights, a group of brave and uninhibited warriors from Ulster.

Savage Dog Slayer: A

The legend of how he got the name Cú Chulainn, based on his slaying of the savage dog of Culann, transformed into a skill. It's a variant of the Beast-Slayer skill and grants Special Attacks against Wild Beasts.

Land of Shadows Arms Mastery: B+

The time he spent training with the Queen of the Land of Shadows, Scáthach, fortified Sétanta's mind and body to create the unrivaled hero, Cú Chulainn. As this Spirit Origin is still in training (the end of his training, to be very specific), he possesses this skill. When he manifests as the true hero Cú Chulainn, he does not retain this skill, and instead has the Noble Phantasm Gáe Bolg.

(Not possessing either this skill or the Noble Phantasm Gáe Bolg is essentially impossible.)

『Cruaidín Sétanta』

Severing Blade of Death and Brilliance.

A Noble Phantasm that assimilated with Cruaidín, an unnamed sword of light that appeared in the legend of the Battle of Roos na Rig, given as a gift by King Conchobar when Sétanta was recognized as a warrior of Ulster.

It is a demonic blade that emits a faint light but shines brightly upon its True Name release. It is no less powerful than the demonic sword Caladbolg wielded by his adoptive father, Fergus. Combined with the fearsome combat skills he learned from his mentor Scáthach, Sétanta strikes down his foes without mercy.

When, on being summoned, the True Name of his Spirit Origin was determined to be Sétanta, it is thought the two swords merged into a single Noble Phantasm because the sword was wielded by Sétanta, who was also known as the hero Cú Chulainn, in battle.

"Wasn't this sword intended for the older me? Isn't that kinda cheating? Then again, there're plenty of other guys who have unfair Noble Phantasms, so whatever!"

Or so he says.

The Heroic Spirit Sétanta is said to be a Servant from a Chaldea "that is not this Chaldea."

"Why don't you just ask Tiamat or Merl—that woman in white if you want more details." (*A satisfactory explanation is by no means guaranteed from either of them.) He's not sure of the details himself.

Anyway, Sétanta appears to have come to Chaldea as a guest. Then again, all Heroic Spirits summoned there are guests in this world. He seems to be aware of that too. And so, while he may be around only temporarily, the Heroic Spirit Sétanta is ready and willing to share his fate with his Master as a Servant. He seems to have taken a liking to this Master and Chaldea enough to be willing to do so.
