It's not really clear whether THAT actually existed in the Heian period. Perhaps it was only a rumor that spread among oni living in the shadows of the modern world. Whatever the case, she won't shut up about it...the legend of the Magifender oni.

The heroes who save the world of man become Heroic Spirits, while those who save the world of oni become Magifenders. Preach to oni, denounce oni, and kill oni... This is the way of the oni Magifender, and the only way to truly save all oni.

"Well, it's a nice story, so just go along with it, okay?"

Shuten-Douji with a different Spirit Origin. This really isn't meant to be a disguise, but somehow very few people actually realize it's her.

Initially, she intended this to be a costume or disguise, but ever since she caught that little beast Haku in the Chitose region, it seems her entire Spirit Origin has (temporarily) changed. She's even adopted more heroic mannerisms, but make no mistake, she is merely playing the part of someone who saves oni by killing other oni.

Oni Magifender, Heart-Crushing Killer.

With her class changed, her Noble Phantasm meant to rip her victim's bones out, "Bone Collector (One Hundred Furiously Blossoming Flowers - Wo Ai Ni), has become a skill. It is a terrifying skill in which she thrusts her hand into her target's chest if they fail a resistance save, and then mercilessly crushes the heart and other vital organs.

It's a Magifender Girl ability that was bestowed upon her to let her control oni... At least that's supposed to be the official line. When a dubious member of Chaldea's staff pointed out that any living thing would shut right up when someone crushes its heart, Shuten-Douji just giggled and said not a word.

"Those princesses in that 'tee-vee' box all swing those stick things around. They're all glowy and stuff. I want one."

...This is apparently the sort of stuff Shuten and her familiar, Haku, talked about.

A vicious pummeling attack carried out by relying on her tough physique and the natural strength that comes with being with an oni, all combined with her innate flexibility and cruelty. She begins with rapid punches and kicks that happen so quickly she might be thought to be teleporting around. While she may not have a long reach, evading her is all but impossible. Even the protection afforded by Divinity is sure to be useless against such a savage attack. Her target is all but certain to die on the spot.

After the flurry of blows ceases, she may then launch the same poisonous alcohol-filled gourd from her Noble Phantasm, "Multicolored Poison - Shinpen Kidoku." According to Shuten, she just does that for fun, though, so this particular Noble Phantasm is more a combination of furious blows.

Inside, she is no different from her usual self, but...she consciously tries not to break character from the Magifender Girl image that Ibaraki clings to...at least as much as possible...

It's probably more accurate to say that she continues to play along because she feels like she's performing a sacred Shinto dance, Kagura, and she's enjoying herself. It seems like she plans to remain in this form until it bores her.

Oh, also her familiar, Haku, was in actuality an evil dragon that appeared in The Kamuy's Gold... The Haku we see now though is one that Shuten molded after the image of the original with her own magical energy. She says he doesn't talk, but there may or may not be reports of Haku talking to himself when she's not around.
