Taisui Xingjun

Taisui Xingjun, also called Taisaishin, is the deified form of Taisui, the theoretical celestial body which reflects Jupiter. Taisui is thought to be the being described in legend as a lump of flesh that travels underground, sometimes called "shìròu." Since this being is said to bring misfortune, Taisui also possesses the aspect of a Tatari-gami (a wrathful god who spreads curses).

Taisaishin is a directional god. His location each year is found in the direction of that year's animal zodiac. His presence is believed to influence whether actions performed in that direction will be lucky or unlucky.

This is Taisui when he is active as an ominous god who must never be awoken (or dug) up—a supernatural deity and young man. Though undeniably handsome in this state, he also becomes something of a mumbling airhead with a pessimistic streak. He is very aware of his nature as a god of curses, and thinks people should hurry up and bury him again before anything bad happens to them. This state tends not to last very long.

A divine amalgam of Con, intelligent beings that were spawned from Taisui's fleshy mass. Essentially a vessel used to summon Taisui himself. Thanks to the events of this Singularity, in this state, he is only one part Taisui Xingjun and one part Alter Ego, defined as such thanks to his Divinity becoming independent. This small boy form is also his standard Servant state.

Shìròu: EX

Literally "sight flesh." Taisui is thought to be a monstrous mass of flesh covered with eyes and buried underground, which follows the movements of Jupiter. It is said that if he is discovered in or dug up from the ground—say, during the construction of a building—anything built there will be most dreadfully cursed. Other sources claim that Taisui's flesh will never run out if eaten, and so can be consumed indefinitely. Further, it is said eating his flesh will make you eternally young.

Earth Moved Atop Taisui's Head.

A Noble Phantasm that brings disaster to those who awakened him. Even today, there are people who believe earth moved on Taisui's head to be a reckless invitation of disaster, which just goes to show how deeply his curses are feared. There are still written records of Taisui dating back to ancient times. In one example, the "Hiro Yiji," a man named Li digs up Taisui and inadvertently brings about the death of his entire extended family—over seventy people.

Taisui Xingjun, also known as Yin Yuan Shuai and Yin Tian Jun, is said to be the deification of Yin Jiao, the son of King Zhou of the Yin dynasty. He is depicted as a young boy in some scriptures, and in others, he shares similarities with Crown Prince Nezha, such as being born from a mass of flesh. Yin Jiao was born to King Zhou's previous wife, who herself was killed at Daji's hands. In the "Investiture of the Gods," he is an enemy of Jiang Ziya, but in other scriptures, he is instead seen assisting King Wu of the Zhou dynasty. One of the baobei Taisui Xingjun possesses is a chime called the Fallen Soul Bell. As you can probably guess from the name, when rung, this chime causes the souls of its bearer's enemies to fall into depravity.

Thus far, it remains unclear whether or not Taisui Xingjun, the Servant in FGO, possesses elements from his depiction in the "Investiture of the Gods."
