Monster Hunter Outlanders reroll guide

Reroll for Midori if you can spare the time. She's the launch-limited adventurer and the top damage dealer on our tier list, and her Featured recruitment is the only way to get her. One run takes about 25 to 30 minutes, which is slow for a gacha game, so stop at any SSR from the list below instead of chasing a perfect start.

Worth rerolling for

  • Midori

    SSSR-star / Assault

    Only on her launch recruitment. A fire long sword who dodges and counters, and on fire-weak monsters she out-damages the Fated Adventurer on any weapon.

  • Arkaya

    ASSR-star / Support

    His squad shield and affinity buff fit any team, and his first duplicate puts him at the top of our list.

Also a good start

  • Pepper

    ASSR-star / Disruptor

    Her ultimate paralyzes the monster and her buff raises the squad's affinity, and she does her own damage from range, mostly in the air.

  • Keres

    ASSR-star / Disruptor

    Hits on weak points do far more damage, and she raises the squad's dragon damage.

  • Rhodes

    ASSR-star / Assault

    The only hammer adventurer: wide swings, and an explosion fed by the energy his charged attacks build.

Not worth rerolling for

Don't reroll for Luka, Madelyn, Pyro, Luxheart or Ryunosuke. All five come free, and Luka and Madelyn are already in our S tier.

How to reroll

  1. 1Start on a login you can throw away. Garena regions offer Guest Mode; everywhere else, each attempt needs a new email address.
  2. 2Skip the cutscenes and take a weapon that kills the early large monsters quickly. Recruitment opens after your first Kulu-Ya-Ku hunt.
  3. 3Claim the sign-up rewards in your mail: 5 Featured Contracts and 20 Standard Contracts.
  4. 4Pick up the free Featured Contract in the Maple Echoes shop, for 6 in total.
  5. 5Spend the Featured Contracts on Midori's recruitment and the Standard Contracts on the Standard Recruitment.
  6. 6No Midori and no SSR from the list above? Delete the account under Settings (Delete Account, and leave any guild first) and start again. A guest account only needs the app's data cleared.

Every recruitment starts at a 0.6% SSR rate with an SSR guaranteed within 90 pulls. Pulls on one Featured Recruitment count toward the next one's guarantee, so a miss on Midori's banner isn't wasted. Buddies have their own recruitment and their own guarantee.
