Dossier #01: Dungeon Rules

There's a saying amongst hunters: "What happens in a dungeon stays in the dungeon."

It is an unwritten rule that all hunters follow.

All kinds of supernatural dangers lurk in dungeons.

The sensibilities of the outside world don't apply to a place like that.

But this also opens up dungeons to be the perfect setting for crime.

Crimes committed in the dungeons often go unreported.

The ones that are often go unsolved.

Sometimes though, one of these incidents does see the light of day.

One D-Rank raid called for by the Hunters Association became the scene of brutal murders committed by a serial killer hunter.

He was only stopped thanks to the combined efforts of surviving hunters.

Because of that, Park Beom-Shik and Kim Sangshik were at the center of the news for a while.

This incident led to the creation of many new regulations and policies regarding gates, dungeons, and crimes committed by hunters, but enforcement remained a large problem as usual.

Dungeons remained incredibly dangerous. The grand promises only inflamed the hunter's dissatisfaction.

Many chose to leave the business and return to normal life.

Dossier #02: Return From A Long Vacation

Despite surviving the same incident, Park Beom-Shik and Kim Sangshik set off on different paths.

They were both family men, but Park Beom-Shik prioritized harmony and Kim Sangshik prioritized stability.

Park Beom-Shik quit being a hunter and tried to find a normal and safe job like his wife had wanted, but it wasn't easy.

None of the jobs he could do came close to the money he'd made as a hunter.

He was used to living a larger life, and the idea of working for peanuts kept eating away at him.

He had plenty of savings, so he decided to take a long and well-earned vacation.

The money problem could wait!

But it could not wait for long. His wife was pregnant with their second child, and the savings he'd earned in exchange for risking his life every day were running dangerously drdy.

Park Beom-Shik had no other choice.

He decided to return to working as a hunter, despite swearing off of it to everyone he knew.

He knew he was in the wrong. He tried to make up for it by convincing himself that he'd only do it for a little whie, and quit when he made enough money for his wife and two children to lead lives without want.

But his fight back from retirement would be his last.

Park Beom-Shik died a hunter, with nothing but regrets swirling around in his head.
