Is Furutaka good?
A Normal heavy cruiser that gets properly strong after retrofit. Her damage buff has up to a 60% chance to add 40% damage for 10 seconds, and retrofit adds a chance to fire her torpedoes twice, so she threatens with both guns and torpedoes.
Her AA is still low for a heavy cruiser, so another ship needs to cover planes. The low oil cost makes her a handy heavy cruiser pick for Hard mode maps that require one.
