Ikazuchi specializes in torpedo damage, backed by a high torpedo stat and a very strong 150% damage modifier. Her skill buffs her own firepower, torpedo, and reload when Akatsuki, Hibiki, or Inazuma sail with her, and since Akatsuki and Inazuma carry matching skills, running the full 6th Destroyer Division together lets everyone cash in the buff at once.

Like the other Fubuki-class destroyers, Ikazuchi featured 9 torpedo tubes housed in triple-tube mounts, of which one mount can be seen behind her.

The Type III (Akatsuki)-class destroyers featured the improved 127mm naval gun, of which 6 could be found placed on the ship in double-barreled turrets.

This made her slightly more effective at anti-aircraft fire.
