Background
McCall's laid-back personality comes from the fact that she spent much of the first part of the war performing quiet patrols and escorts around Hawaii and Alaska and only got into occasional skirmishes.
That was until 1944 when she joined the Carrier Groups that were devastating the islands under Japanese control at the time.
