Arthur (Taranis) is a Legendary Umbra character in Dislyte. Arthur (Taranis)'s role is Fighter. Faction: Esper Union.

Arthur moves quickly and hits hard, dealing massive area damage through his Transmission ability. That combination of speed and AoE burst makes him a strong pick when his kit lines up with the fight in front of him.

Arthur is both a Gyrate politician and the director of the foundation behind the Esper Union, making him one of Gyrate's most influential political figures.

Although he wields the power of Taranis, he rarely uses it.

It seems there is more to Arthur than he lets on.

Career 1 / Charismatic politician.: Arthur is both a Gyrate senator and the director of the Esper Union Foundation.

Approachable and refined, he's one of Gyrate's most popular senators and has long held the top spot of its "Most Popular Public Figures" list.

Whenever Arthur appears in front of the cameras, he looks perfectly composed.

His sharp, tailored suits have become part of his public image.

Within the Union, Arthur is known for his taste and his almost obsessive attention to detail.

He keeps a strict routine of exercise and healthy eating, and often shares fashion advice and lifestyle products with the people around him.

Over time, his habits have rubbed off on many of his colleagues.

Arthur likes to meditate in his garden. Sometimes, he receives guests there as well, using the calm atmosphere to guide each conversation exactly where he wants it to go.

Career 2: A wound that never healed. Arthur rose from a small-town top student to a major political figure.

Along the way, he learned how rules work, and how people can be influenced.

He started as a mayor's secretary, and by 32, he was already one of Hazlitt's youngest senators.

Later, he founded the Esper Union Foundation with Narmer and Alexandra.

Arthur handled politics, his wife handled business, and together they helped build the Union into a working organization.

Their son later joined as well and became the Ops Chief.

After the Shadow Decree split apart, Esper-related crimes began to rise.

Arthur's son became one of the victims, losing his life in an incident later found to have strong ties to the Shadows.

But by the time the truth began to emerge, the evidence had already been wiped clean.

His son's death left Arthur with a wound that never healed.

Over time, that grief turned into a deep hatred of the Shadows.

Career 3 / A carefully laid trap.: When Leora later joined the Union, Arthur treated her with the same kindness he showed everyone else.

But deep down, he couldn't stand her. She came from the Shadows, yet she was still standing in the light.

"Why does someone like her get to walk away untouched?"

Arthur began preparing the Esper Restriction Bill in secret.

Publicly, it was meant to reduce Esper-related crime.

In reality, it gave him a way to polish his image, build influence, and remove "unstable elements" like Leora.

He spent enormous time and money presenting himself as a pioneer of progress in the post-Miracle era.

To him, both the Esper Union and the Foundation were tools for winning public support in a chaotic world.

When Arthur found the Shadows' warehouse of artificial Espers, he came up with a plan.

He would bring Leora down from her pedestal and force the entire Esper Union to support his Esper Restriction Bill.

Then he waited for the perfect moment to strike...

Career 4 / Lurking in the shadows.: When that moment came, Arthur cut off one supply of line for Esper Suppressants and pushed Leora into investigating it.

Then, once she was involved, he pinned the missing shipment on her.

He secretly issued a warrant for Leora while pretending to be a concerned mentor.

He even asked Elaine to help find her. But it was part of a trap.

His real goal was to lure Leora into his private warehouse and get rid of her for good.

Leora and Elaine worked together and brought Arthur's plan crashing down.

Cornered, he released a berserk artificial Guardian, but the two sisters defeated it together.

After his defeat, Arthur was escorted away from the scene.

But he hasn't given up. Hidden in the shadows, he waits for the day he can rise again.
