Von Schneider (冯·施耐德) is a professor in Cassell College, as well as the head of the Execution Bureau.
Biography
Von Schneider entered Cassell College as a dragon genealogy assistant professor.
He enjoyed hand rolled tobacco cigarettes.
The Greenland Incident
In 2001, the college found images of an accidental discovery of ancient bronze fragments with draconic inscriptions on them.
Schneider recognized their similitude to the Ice Sea Bronze Column Tablet and he was sent with some of Cassell's best students to a mission at the Greenland sea in the search of ruins.
The team instead identified a heartbeat.
The creature underneath was surrounded with an electromagnetic field that fried the circuits of diving robots and potentially caused hallucinations in hybrids.
Fearing the possible resurrection of a dragon embryo, the School Board forced the researchers to deploy a diving team.
Schneider supervised the expedition from a boat while his students entered the sea in a diving bell.
170 meters in, they excitedly described the discovery of a suspended gate in the middle of the water and against Schneider's orders, they attempted to open it, only to immediately regret their decision and start combating an unknown entity.
Intending to rescue them, Schneider jumped into the water, but he soon discovered that he was being followed by a long, slender figure.
Armed with a regular rifle, he shot the creature, and its blood cracked his oxygen mask.
The cold water entered his respiratory system and necrotized his face, his blood was frozen.
All of the students died.
He was rescued by a helicopter, where the doctor managed to resuscitate him and save his tongue.
From then on, he had to wear an oxygen mask at all times, and change his plastic trachea every two to three years to prevent his respiratory system from failing.
The pure blood of the dragon he shot deeply damaged and enhanced his body at the same time, greatly increasing his risk of turning into a Death Servitor.
To reduce the risk of harming someone, an explosive device was attached to his heart, ready to detonate if he loses control.
After that day, Schneider stopped tutoring students for seven years.
Chu Zihang
In September of 2008, a boy named Chu Zihang discovered and contacted Cassell College on his own, which was an unprecedented feat.
Schneider was ordered to investigate and neutralize him if he turned out to be a threat.
The two met each other on a rainy day and Zihang asked to study in Cassell.
Schneider recognized his character and became his mentor.
In the following years, Zihang discovered the secret Blood Rage technique from the archives of the Lionheart Society.
Schneider dedicated himself to cover Zihang's tracks and protect him from the School Board, since the secret party intended to examine and potentially neutralize the young student to prevent him from going out of control through the Nibelungen Plan.
