Daughter of the Norse Allfather Odin, she is one of the Valkyries. A tragic woman from Norse mythology.
A warrior maiden who is the same being as Sigrdrifa, the great hero Sigurd's doomed lover in the Volsunga Saga. Her story is told in the Edda poems "Sigrdrifumal" and "Brynhild's Ride to Hel" that depict her as the Valkyrie who fell in love with Sigurd.

During her time as a Divine Spirit she was a puppet with little free will, but after incurring her father's wrath and being sent to earth, she took on human qualities and a personality through her encounter with Sigurd.

Had it not been for the tragedy, she would've lived out her life as a good wife.
Though her love for Sigurd was relentless and overwhelming, her cursed and tragic fate led her to harbor a murderous intent.
She ended up killing him, then taking her own life as well.

The deeper the love, the heavier and larger the lance will become. It will have a tremendous effect against her beloved Sigurd (it will also have a tremendous effect against Siegfried, who's deeply related to Sigurd).

But her lance will automatically be fixed on Sigurd if he's ever summoned in front of her.
Both her as a Heroic Spirit and her Noble Phantasm have been defined as "an existence to kill Sigurd."

Brynhild sees Siegfried, a dragonslayer who shares the same origin as Sigurd, as a "separate entity." But, Brynhild still feels close to Siegfried, often gazing at him passionately and trying to find every opportunity to be with him (and kill him).
