Kama

The god of love in Indian mythology, also called Kamadeva. Originally depicted as a male god. Kama's manifestation uses an all too familiar girl as a vessel. This is due in part to that girl's peculiarity, and in part to the presence of another goddess who also appeared as a Pseudo-Servant.

It is said that this god wielded a bow made of sugarcane that shot arrows decorated with flowers. Anybody hit by the arrow is filled with desire.

One of this god's most famous legends tells how Kama (under duress) shot Shiva, who was deep in meditation, to force him to recognize his wife's love.

Obviously Kama would be best suited to the Archer class, and yet...

Having Affectionate Love and Withering Means To Have Not Loved Passionately.

This is in reference to the Sammohana, the flower arrow that the Kama, the god of love, possessed. It has the effect of inspiring feelings of love in whomever it strikes. When her Ananga and Mara characteristics are most prominent, the arrow of love itself becomes Kama's lost physical body.

As a result of trauma she's suffered, Kama prefers not to use her Noble Phantasm in service of anyone else. As she is now, Kama finds it absurd to meddle in other people's love affairs.

Go babble about love somewhere else. Anyone looking for me to shoot arrows like Cupid should just die. It's actually really fun to be an obstacle to anyone giddy about love and relationships...

This defiant stance exemplifies Kama's desire to serve as a truly awful god of love.

Ananga: EX

A skill referring to Kama's other name, it means "one without a body."

There once was a demonic god named Tāraka who wreaked havoc among the gods. Eventually, the gods learned that only the offspring of Shiva and Pārvatī could defeat Tāraka, but Shiva was deep in meditation, and was in no state to give Pārvatī any marital attention. Desperate, the gods dispatched Kama to shoot Shiva with the arrow of desire to revitalize the couple's love. However, Kama's actions enraged Shiva and he opened his Third Eye to incinerate Kama.

When Shiva, the god of destruction, unleashed his power and reduced Kama's physical body to ash, what became of the divinity's essence?

Mara Pāpīyas: EX

A temporary skill activated based on Kama's other nature: the demon king of desire incarnate. Kama's other name is Mara, and she is often synonymous with and considered to be the other aspect of the same being. They are at times lumped together as Kama/Mara.

The name Mara is derived from the word for "killing," and it's often translated as "ma (evil)," "mara (obstruction)," and "demon king." In Buddhism, it refers to the being who lives freely among the sixth heavenly realm in the world of desire, the Demon King of the Sixth Heaven.

As Buddha was trying to reach enlightenment under the bodhi tree, Mara made several attempts to distract Buddha. These efforts included Mara sending three beautiful daughters (some say they were the god himself disguised) to tempt Buddha, hurling a fiery disk, raining boulders and weapons down around Buddha, setting monsters upon Buddha, and unleashing heavy storms and rainfall. However, Buddha turned the disks and weapons into flowers, and Mara was unable to prevent Buddha from reaching enlightenment. Mara's attempts to obstruct Buddha's enlightenment and Kama's interruption of Shiva's meditation have resulted in this god being known as one with a love of tempting the faithful.

Kama/Mara can be said to be a god who embodies both the best and worst of love.
