In her endless positivity, she simply concluded that the two are basically the same, as they both bring smiles to people's faces, and so resolved to be a goddess who would pass on the gift of happiness to humans everywhere, as she adores them all.

She pours her heart into her samba dances, and into giving gifts to the people of the world...

...and, of course, into Lucha Libre!

"You're going to be this year's Santa."

That was how Attila the San(ta), last year's Santa, appointed Quetzalcoatl the new Santa. And while Quetzalcoatl was delighted to become Santa after casually accepting the Christmas Holy Grail, three problems arose.

First, Quetzalcoatl confused samba with Santa.

Second, because Santa Claus, an idea from a different culture, and Mesoamerica's principle deity did not mix well together, the aspects of Quetzalcoatl as a god of good and a god of battle...split.

And lastly, the impact from the separation caused the evil Quetzalcoatl, her darker self, to be blasted all the way to Mexico along with the Christmas Holy Grail.

Initially, Quetzalcoatl continued with her Santa duties without really worrying about it, but this was pretty clearly something that needed to be dealt with.

It wasn't long before Quetzalcoatl received word that a Singularity had been detected in Mexico. When she went to investigate, she found snow falling in a Mexican city, as well as a mysterious lucha tournament―where the winning team is said to be granted the power of the true Santa―called the "Santa Tag Tournament" that was about to begin...

Quetzalcoatl's samba life may have started with a misunderstanding, but since she was so determined to go through with it, she educated herself on what samba was and arrived at the conclusion that, "Samba is really cool, yes!"

...Aaand that's why she's so obsessed with samba now, so much so that she thinks of it as a wonderful part of human culture developed during their wonderful growth.

The problem is...no one around her had any real knowledge of samba, so the style of samba that she studied and trained at so fervently may be a bit...unconventional. She doesn't care. What really matters is her passion...right?

Christmas Tactics: EX

Quetzalcoatl is the soul of Lucha Libre, but at the same time also became the very epitome of Santa Claus. To resolve the contradiction between these two incompatible aspects, she developed a way of fighting in the lucha ring that maintains the style of Santa Claus. According to her, rather than using her usual aerial tactics, she employs "Christmas tactics." She doesn't fly through the air so much as through the concept of Christmas itself. They say that when this Santa Claus flies into the air, holy bells jingle three times, ringing across the wrestling mat that is the jungle.

"What's that?" "It's a star!" "It's a colony!"

"No, it's a Christmas present!"

It is Quetzalcoatl's Santa Claus move, whereby she uses all her might to send the world's children presents for Christmas. "Regalo de Navidad" is Spanish for "Christmas present." It is also known as Yucatán Present Slam. Maybe this is because she unleashes her Noble Phantasm to the samba beat with such enthusiasm. In any case, what results is a ludicrously large present falling from low orbit.

The sheer size and impact force of this method of present delivery resemble the meteor said to have crashed into the Yucatán Peninsula in ancient times－one that is also said to have been the source of her Divinity. Of course, this present wouldn't wipe out the dinosaurs, but is instead filled with all manner of things that will bring children joy.

Even if it's unleashed when the villains (rudos) are in the ring, it would delight the children watching the match, so in the end, this Noble Phantasm exists only to bring happiness and smiles to the children of the world.

Her personality is largely unchanged from her normal self. But whenever a problem arises, she will typically try to solve it using the rhythm of the samba, or as Santa Claus. Because...why not?

But what happens if neither works?

Well...then it's time for lucha.
