Is Emma Frost good?
Emma Frost switches between two forms mid-fight. Diamond Form gives her a long list of debuff immunities, covering things like Stun, Bleed, Poison, Incinerate, and Shock, along with defensive stats and Prowess passives from well-timed blocks, while Telepath Form trades that safety for offensive stats, higher Critical ratings, and Evade prevention. Masteries like Double Edge and Liquid Courage normally cost her a Bleed or Poison debuff for the Attack bonus, but Diamond Form clears those debuffs instantly while keeping the buff, so she banks the benefit without the cost.
Managing when to switch forms, staying defensive against a stronger foe and going aggressive once she's ahead, is really the whole game of playing her well.

9Form Switching
PassiveEmma starts the fight in Diamond Form. When Emma is at least one Power Level ahead of the Opponent, she deactivates Diamond Form and switches to Telepath Form. When the Opponent is at least one Power Level ahead of Emma, she deactivates Telepath Form and switches to Diamond Form. If the Opponent uses an Armor Break while Emma is in Diamond Form, she is forced into Telepath Form, and cannot swap back for the duration of the Armor Break.
Telepath Form
PassiveWhen Emma changes into Telepath Form, she replaces all indefinite Prowess Passives with new Prowess Passives that increase Special Attack Damage by +10% and last 7 seconds. Prowess Passives are capped at 10 in Telepath form. Critical hits grant a Prowess Passive, and refresh all existing Prowess Passives. Emma is able to read her opponent’s thoughts, allowing all Emma’s attacks to ignore Evade. Critical Rate for each active Prowess effect. At tier 7: 485.29 Critical Damage Rating for each active Prowess effect. At tier 7: Critical Damage Rating 56.12

PassiveGenerate 50% additional Power. Opponents generate 80% less Power from this attack.
Heavy Attack (Telepath Form)
Passive100% chance to inflict a Taunt Debuff on the Opponent for 5 seconds. These Debuffs are removed if Emma switches to Diamond Form.
White Queen
Signature AbilityWhen Telepath Form is active and Emma Frost would lose more than 50 - 5% of her Max Health from a single source, she activates Diamond Form for 3 seconds to reduce the damage. Against Tech Champions this ability triggers based on Max Health instead. This ability always activates before checking Armor and Resistances but does not activate on a Well-Timed Block. When Emma uses a Special Attack, the Opponent’s controls are reversed until just after the end of the attack. This will not trigger when fighting an Opponent with #Psychic Shielding.

PassiveEmma switches to Telepath form for the duration of the attack. Once Emma finishes a Special Attack, all Prowess Passives are removed. These attacks are Thistle and deal True Damage, ignoring all of the Opponent’s Armor.

Special 1Emma assails the Opponent’s mind directly with a pair of telepathic strikes. 100% chance to inflict Power Sting for 8 second(s). An opponent with Power Sting takes 9503.1 Direct Damage when activating a Special Attack.

Brainstorm
Special 2Emma launches a psychic blast at the opponent, following it up with a direct mental attack. 100% chance to inflict Concussion for 8 second(s), reducing the Opponent’s Ability Accuracy by 50%.
Dominate the Mind
Special 3Emma takes complete control of the Opponent’s mind, subjecting them to extreme mental trauma before giving them a harsh return to reality. 100% chance to reduce the opponent’s Power Gain from all sources by 75% for 8 seconds.
