Is Karolina Dean good?
Karolina's Incinerate damage is strong and gets an extra burst during her Specials, and blocking consumes her Iridescence buffs to Glance incoming hits, cutting damage by a lot. Standing in the sun builds Power for more frequent Specials, though that also means spending a lot of the fight positioned there just to keep her Iridescence buffs up.
Since almost all her damage is Incinerate-based, Incinerate Immune opponents lock her out almost entirely, though the Nico synergy helps against Tech champions specifically, and losing control of her buffs through Nullify or similar effects causes real problems. B tier for a strong Incinerate-based Cosmic with one clear hole in her kit.

After leading a somewhat normal teenage life, Karolina Dean and her classmates discovered their parents were part of an evil organization that sacrificed teenagers to gods to create a utopia.
After running away and eventually shutting down the organization, the group forged their own bizarre family, doing their best to move forward into the future, even if their past manages to keep up with them wherever they go.
Despite the hiccups and constant teen drama, Karolina uses her Majesdanian powers to make the world a better place.
As long as she has Nico, her friends, and the sun in the sky, Karolina always finds a way to shine bright!

8Glowing with Majesdanian Sunshine
PassiveKarolina’s Majesdanian physiology grants her 100% Resistance to Incinerate effects. Additionally, Incinerate effects do not lower her Block Proficiency or remove her Perfect Block chance. Karolina’s solar energy-infused body also causes her attacks to deal Energy Damage and grants her Immunity to Special Lock, Power Lock, Coldsnap, and Frostbite effects. Karolina has a youthful pep in her step granting her an indefinite Instinct Buff.
Soak in the Iridescent Sun
PassiveKarolina can absorb indefinite Iridescence Buffs from the sun as it shines down in various locations across the stage. After appearing briefly, the sun fades away before appearing again in a new location. Karolina starts with 2 Iridescence Buffs. Max stacks: 15. While in the sun, Karolina gains the following abilities: Karolina gains 1 Iridescence Buff every 0.65 seconds. Karolina gains a Power Gain Buff, granting 2% of a Bar of Power each second for each Iridescence Buff, up to 6. Charging a Heavy Attack in the sun after landing a non-Combo-Ending Attack inflicts a Stun Passive for 2.2 seconds. This Stun cannot have its duration modified by Tech Champions. If Karolina activates a Special Attack while in the sun, she gains an Unblockable Buff for the duration of the Special. As an Attacker, Karolina stands still while in the sun.
Solar Shield Block
PassiveWhenever Karolina Blocks a hit, she consumes Iridescence Buffs based on the Blocked attack to grant herself a Glancing Buff for the duration of the attack. This Buff is removed if Karolina is struck. When the Opponent Glances against Karolina, damage is reduced by 85% and Offensive Ability Accuracy is reduced by 40%. Light and Medium Attacks – 1 Buff. Special Attack 1 – 3 Buffs. Special Attack 2 – 6 Buffs. Whenever Iridescence Buffs are consumed by Blocking, inflict a 222.97 Energy Vulnerability Passive for 15 seconds for each Buff consumed. As a Defender, personal Incinerates scale with Base Attack only and deal half damage. During Karolina’s Special Attacks, personal Incinerates deal no damage. Instead, each of Karolina’s Special Attack hits inflicts an Instant Incinerate for each personal Incinerate active, dealing a burst of 1382.99 Energy Damage per bar of Power spent.

SignatureWhenever Karolina has her Block struck by a Heavy Attack, she consumes 6 Iridescence Buffs to resist a Block Break and grant herself a Glancing Buff for the duration of the attack. At 6+ Iridescence Buffs, personal Incinerates also Pulverize 1 Armor Up effect, removing it and dealing a burst of 3786.53 - 7394.32 Direct Damage. For each Iridescence Buff, gain 1 - 5% increased Incinerate potency, up to 6 Iridescence Buffs.

SpecialKarolina finger guns her way out of trouble by inflicting solar-infused incinerates. Call that a burning hot supernova! Each hit consumes 1 Iridescence Buff to inflict 1 personal Incinerate Passive.
Special 3 - Iridescent Sun over Paradise
SpecialAfter restricting her opponent, Karolina launches her opponent into the sky then melts them away with iridescent rays of glorious sunshine. Consume up to 12 Iridescence Buffs to inflict 12 personal Incinerate Passives. Gain a non-stacking 10% Intensify Buff for 24 seconds. While active, Karolina generates Iridescence Buffs 35% faster while in the sun.
