Is Magik good?

Magik's Special 2 can fully stop the opponent from gaining Power, and her Special 3 gains Attack while Nullifying every buff on a Buff-heavy opponent, giving her real power control on top of solid Alliance War defense through Limbo's regeneration and Energy damage. Debuff Immunity stops her Special 2 Power Lock from landing, reducing her Ability Accuracy stops Limbo from triggering at all, and high Energy Resistance or Heal Block both cut into what Limbo does for her.

A tier for a strong Power Control Mystic with several matchup-dependent weak points.

Background

Mutants are known to be mysterious and strange, yet Illyana Rasputina may be the most uncanny of them all.

As Magik, she can teleport anywhere in the world (and occasionally, anywhere in time).

As the Darkchilde, she is the sorceress supreme of the demon world Limbo, and wielder of the terrifying Soulsword.

Illyana is sister to Colossus, best friend to Kitty Pryde, and a strict instructor at Cyclops' mutant school.
