Is Ronan good?
Ronan judges Buff-heavy opponents harshly: he converts their Fury into Weakness, breaks Armor with Heavy Attacks, and lands a Stun after every Special Attack that lasts longer the more Buffs the opponent is carrying, which makes him great against Buff-loving champions or nodes.
He's immune to Poison on top of that. Stun Immunity shuts down his whole plan outright, Limber shortens his Stuns, and Buff-light opponents simply don't feed him the fuel he needs, which is why he's stuck at D.
