Sentinel
TechB tier
Introduction
Sentinel is a character in Marvel Contest of Champions. Sentinel's role is Tech.
On our Marvel Contest of Champions tier list Sentinel is B tier, 122nd of the 297 characters ranked, from where 9 current tier lists put Sentinel.
Is Sentinel good?
Sentinel's Special 1 and 2 are both multi-hit attacks that pile on Debuffs, and Despair scales well off that. Its Heal Block, various immunities, and a spare Sentinel bot as backup round out its kit, and Collar Tech helps prolong the fight in Sentinel's favor by cutting down how often the opponent throws Special Attacks.
Energy Resistance and effective Debuff control from the opponent are the main things holding it at B.
Strengths
- Special 1 and 2 are multi-hit attacks that pile on Debuffs
- Heal Block plus a handful of useful immunities
- A spare Sentinel bot as backup
Weaknesses
- Energy Resistance works against it
- Opponents with good Debuff control blunt it
Background
Although the Sentinels were created by a Mutant elite, who had the goal of controlling the Champions of The Contest, 100 years in the future, they rebelled; killed their creator and subsequently engineered a way into the present day.
The Mark-ISO evolved from these rogue Sentinels, adapting to the ISO-8 rich environment of the current Contest.
Powered by an ISO fusion engine, the Mark-ISO Sentinel can quell any uprising within The Contest with extreme prejudice.
