Introduction
Flamebringer is a 5-star character in Arknights. Flamebringer's class is Guard. Faction: Rhodes Island.
On our Arknights tier list Flamebringer is B tier, 156th of the 293 characters ranked, from where 10 current tier lists put Flamebringer.
Is Flamebringer good?
Flamebringer carries some of the highest HP of any
Guard, and Blood Pact keeps him topped up while still dealing decent damage, so he's largely self-sufficient without needing a dedicated healer. Blade Demon ramps his DPS up once it's active, and Bloody Slaughter stacks more HP onto him with every kill, but both take a while to pay off since one needs a high number of attacks landed and the other needs him personally finishing enemies off.
Without those snowball effects kicked in, other Dreadnought Guards simply do the job better, so he needs a long fight with lots of enemies, like Annihilation, to really come into his own. He's a welfare unit that's easy to max out, and we rank him C tier.

Background
DRE-Y: This blade, and its master, once had the opportunity to end his life.
Yet in the end, this blade ended up shattered.
One piece remains buried in the mud of that battlefield, and the other piece rests on the flowerbed's frame.
"That guy came with a score to settle."
"That standard-issue longsword looked like a merc weapon."
"Said he was getting revenge for a friend, but I had no idea who he was talking about."
"The branches in this pot have already begun to turn yellow, and it'll be difficult for it to sprout new ones"
"What can one do when one’s lost one’s will to live?"
"Putting someone else's life above his own, a meaningless gesture."
"Utterly ridiculous."
"People always talk about how they're willing to get run through for their friends.
You hear it a lot."
"But when it comes to how many can actually live up to the talk...
Hah, guess he's pretty impressive."
"Ugh... the two branches here have tangled together and are starting to wilt.
Going to have to prune them"
"When you prune them and let them bud again, the part that survives flourishes.
Even plants are like that."
"Too bad he didn't know how to swing a sword at all.
Nothing but brute strength."
"Even after I broke his blade, he still wanted to complete his revenge, literally tooth and nail."
"He left his life behind so that the living could pay the price."
"A somewhat interesting idea, but..."
"You'll never become strong if you only see your life as an extension of the dead."
"When plants treat the offshoots that have been pruned and propagated as their own nutrition, they will flourish more vigorously, and perhaps even bloom more flowers."
"All life is like this."
"This pot might not do too well in the greenhouse.
Go take it to the balcony."
"Maybe it'll grow into something new."
Flamebringer: Flamebringer, Guard Operator of Rhodes Island, will bring ruination to enemies worthy of standing before him.
