Is Lathel good?
Lathel's Herb Gatherer costume is cheap to use and buffs his own attack while he swings, though its fire element only matters against the wind enemies common in the first story chapter, and its two-tile range struggles against crowded fights. Vow of Vengeance can one-shot a PvP opponent for just three SP and hits hard against bosses too.
Homunculus grants a big, flexible party-wide attack buff at a light SP cost for any physical team, though it does nothing for magic parties. His stats lean tank, so building him as an attacker means committing to his exclusive weapon and crit-damage gear.

Lathel gathers herbs in Lugo Village. His hobby is memorizing herb names, and he loves the smell of fresh, herb-covered soil; the curse etched into his body is what he hates most. His family in Lugo matters more to him than anything. Rumor has it he wasn't born in Lugo and arrived only a few years ago, and nobody knows what he did before that. A village girl fondly recalls him always playing with her and finding piles of herbs to heal her friend Misha's body.
