Chalmers trades his own HP for damage: Gold Pulse scales its bonus damage off the target's max HP while costing him health of his own, and also blocks that enemy from getting buffed afterward. Vita Lightbeam adds a Diseased debuff on top. It's a high-risk, self-damaging plan that only rates D.

Career 1: Chalmers cares neither about his appearance nor being cold-shouldered.

For him, doing research comes first. “No need to sort out the trash, you can just take it all out.”

These are the words spoken most often when the cleaning lady comes to tidy up Chalmers’ room.

Firm in her belief that the customer is always right, she nimbly picks through the cluttered materials and the trash on the ground, leaving with four bulging bags of garbage...

As well as a handful of smelly towels from underneath his desk.

His eyes are aglow with pure excitement, so much so that he fails to notice the cleaning lady’s obvious disgust.

With a fresh new direction, Chalmers threw on whatever clothing was nearby and ran straight to the lab, excitedly sharing his knowledge with the other researchers.

So long as it concerns his research, Chalmers can prattle on about it all day.

Career 2: He never thought he would be betrayed by the researcher he admires the most.

It is always pleasant to find that your research results have been recognized, especially when they are recognized by people you admire.

Chalmers never thought his senior, Anesidora, would betray him.

Not only did she leave, but she also destroyed the research results that he poured his heart and soul into to obtain, which she recognized.

The feelings he had when he was helped by his senior and when he was attracted by her pursuit and talent and the memories of how he, a lazy and sloppy person, took meticulous care of her turned into a complicated emotion that is hard to explain.

It feels as if even the Esper is laughing at him - you are just like the goddess Idun who failed to protect the Golden Apple.

Career 3: He will protect his research results for sure.

Chalmers has changed, but it also seems like he has not changed.

He still shares what he knows with others.

He is much more cautious with candidates though.

The bold and frank Commanding Officer Lin Xiao has become Chalmers’s new drinking buddy.

Even though Lin Xiao knows nothing about Chalmers’s research, he still notes Chalmers’s scientific records down seriously.

Outside of work, the two are like-minded and keep no secrets from each other.

Chalmers, who began doubting himself due to the betrayal of his senior, stopped taking it personally after talking to Lin Xiao.

With his faith restored, Chalmers became even more passionate about his research.

He believes that his research will have results that amaze even his seniors in time.

This time he is going to protect his “golden apple.”
