Ikki punishes the enemy team just for taking their turns, since his passive, Envious Moon, deals ongoing damage every time an enemy acts and builds Waxing Moon stacks that trigger a Pursuit Attack at set thresholds. Sharp-Ground Knife adds buff stealing to his single-target damage, and Pale Fire clears his own debuffs while hitting the whole enemy team and can restart Envious Moon if it's run out.

That passive damage engine gives him a strong, low-maintenance way to chip at the enemy all game.

Hearing his father's wavering voice, a worried Ikki returned to their hometown, only to discover that the border outpost had become the site of a terrible massacre, with countless dead.

With his last breaths, Ikki's father explained what had happened.

Proximity to the Miracle had caused psychological damage to the garrison.

He might have been able to prevent the massacre if the higher-ups hadn't suppressed his findings; they had even dispatched assassins to silence any survivors.

As he clutched his now-comatose father among the ruins, Ikki transformed into an Esper.

Career 4 / A thorny path.: Ikki swore he'd find whoever was behind the events at the border outpost.
