Jin Yuyao is permanently immune to disables herself, and her passive rewards her with energy any time her team gets debuffed, while also clearing one debuff off each ally before she even acts. On her turn she can strip every buff off her targets and drain their energy for it, or dump the whole team's accumulated debuffs onto the enemy while dealing damage based on her own max HP.

That mix of self-sufficiency and team-wide debuff transfer is why she's A tier.

Jin Yuyao is cold and ruthless. After being granted the divine power of the Queen Mother, she made a name for herself in the Glory Plains with her formidable strength.

Not long after, the highly decorated newcomer agreed to the Shadow Decree’s offer to become a Pillager and attained even greater prestige.

Blood-Drenched Sword-Storm: The lady long ago gave up her ignorance, became a cold and ruthless predator.

She forged her sword into a fan, vowed to bring down a rain of blood.

Jin Yuyao will let everybody know:

Career 1: She is the Scarlet Queen of the Glory Plains.

Few would have expected the beauty of this young lady to be exceeded only by the ruthlessness of her ambition.

Her first acquisition of a Nexus Crystal many years ago was succeeded in short order by the establishment of a pseudo-military independent faction and virtual monopoly on Nexus Crystal mining and trade around the Super Miracle.

Jin Yuyao began to develop something of a reputation on the ironically-named Glory Plains, an area that had truly seen better days.

People spoke of her presence in ominous whispers, that one “should never underestimate Jin Yuyao who carries the power of the Scarlet Queen” and that she had “made it her business to hunt down and destroy all mercenaries and bounty hunters” who might threaten her plans.

Many an enemy or unfortunate soul who displeased Jin Yuyao found themselves at the bitter end of an enchanted fan with the power of eternal banishment.

So great is Jin Yuyao’s feared reputation that it was considered a major blow to the Shadow Decree that it failed to recruit her in the early days of its existence — despite the best efforts of their greatest diplomats.

Career 2: A powerful Esper revered as a goddess by some or feared as a living nightmare by others.

Jin Yuyao’s penchant for sadism and cruelty is perhaps matched or counterbalanced by a somewhat ethereal, even regal side.

Jin Yuyao had the benefit of growing up in an extremely wealthy family in which the heiress of the family empire was expected to look and play the part of a modern-day aristocrat.

Indeed, life in the global elite did provide Jin Yuyao with a preternatural sense of confidence in the face of adversity and provocation.

Jin Yuyao’s skills as a leader and businesswoman have made her a strange figure in the local community: an object of fear and cursing to some, respect and even devotion to others.

Career 3: A betrayal by one of her family’s closest friends has set Jin Yuyao down a path of terrible vengeance.

Jin Yuyao’s path of transformation from sweet-natured eldest child to killer businesswoman has become a topic of fascination for many Esper historians.

The mystery is not that hard to unravel.

A cursory examination of Jin Yuyao’s past point in the direction of her family’s one-time “benefactor” and suspected cause of their later misfortunes.

Global economic hardships during the early days of the 22nd century almost unwound all of the family’s corporate entities.

Jin Yuyao and her parents chose to place their hope in friend and business partner Abigail at this difficult juncture, not suspecting that he would use this opportunity to take control of the family’s last remaining assets.

The family certainly had the skills to rebuild, but this unfortunate incident proved to be particularly formative in Jin Yuyao’s life for other reasons: the betrayal had unleashed something very dark within Jin Yuyao’s psyche, the lust for revenge.

To quote from one of Jin Yuyao’s pseudo-motivational speeches: “Take what is mine, and I will take it back.

And then after that, I will take everything from you.”

Career 4: Recent events have finally given Jin Yuyao the confidence to go to war with her nemesis directly.

The Burning of the Union probably marked the start of the Shadow Decree’s stature as a genuine independent power from the Esper Union’s authority and reach.

This milestone development in the history of Esper relations also provided Jin Yuyao with a long-awaited opportunity to revenge on Abigail and the wealthy Saunbert family.

Jin Yuyao was sensible of the Shadow Decree’s enormous need for funding and independent financial networks.

She was also well aware that the day would soon come when the Shadow Decree could confiscate any desired resources from “non-compliant” organizations.

Jin Yuyao used her considerable business acumen to assemble a network of merchants and factions sharing interests diametrically opposed to those of the wealthy Saunberts.

For all intents and purposes, Jin Yuyao was merely acting as the Shadow Decree’s go-between and private facilitator.

Few suspected her new conglomerate was aimed at squeezing her arch-rival out of business.

The Abigail family may be considered the untouchable tycoons of Grandis for now, but Jin Yuyao’s day - and the complete ruin of the Abigail family - is coming as surely as the Shadow Decree’s victory.
