Li Ling: Might makes right to the domineering Li Ling and his celestial benefactor, Nezha!

Li Ling is a confident, brash and hot-headed young man who frequently gets in trouble.

Having always had a rebellious streak, he does not take rules and limitations too seriously.

Among the Ops Chiefs of the Esper Union, Li Ling's reputation is well-known and despite his sometimes difficult personality, he is admired by many (especially among the younger members).

Hailing from a wealthy clan in Tangton, Li Ling grew up spoiled and self-centered.

Even in his childhood, he liked to cause trouble, and his behavior only worsened when he awakened to his Esper powers as a teenager.

Firmly believing that "Might makes right", he used his powers as an excuse to behave however he wants.

An encounter with the still mortal Yun Chuan set him straight and instilled a sense of justice into him.

From then on, he used his powers to defend the weak as part of the Esper Union.

Despite this reformation, he still likes to cause trouble for his superiors by ignoring rules and embarking on unsanctioned operations.

After transforming into an Esper, Li Ling's already striking appearance became even more notable.

While he retained the youthful look of a 21-year-old man, his irises turned glowing red, surrounded by pitch black sclera.

Most of his other features remained the same, for example his wild, black hair reaching all the way down to his thighs, which he already wore that way during childhood.

The most notable change, however, are the massive four extra arms floating behind Li Ling, that he can control as he pleases.

These arms turn to a rosy pink color towards the hands, feature sharp claws and are adorned by two sets of bracelets.

Each one cuts off at the biceps, where they appear to be connected to some kind of dull golden ring, giving off the impression they are reaching into this world from another dimension.

Li Ling's outfit is simple but memorable - given that he is completely shirtless, showing off his well-toned chest and abdominal muscles, most likely developed while training rigorously under Yun Chuan.

His lower body is covered by a large pair of translucent, pink hakama pants adorned with Chinese characters.

Underneath the translucent material, he wears another set of white kung fu pants.

The whole ensemble is tied together by a series of white belts around Li Ling's slim waist, with several belt loops dangling down his legs as well.

On his feet, he wears a pair of black platform sandals, possibly referencing the Japanese geta or Chinese manchu.

While Li Ling wears little accessories, he sports a dark collar-like tattoo around his neck, with a couple of four-cornered star tattoos underneath, along his shoulders and chest.

His arms are covered by long gloves of the same color, reaching up to his biceps - notably the same place his spectral arms cut off at.

His lower left spectral arm wields a massive rose colored spear with golden ornaments at the tip, a callback to Nezha's Fire-tipped Spear (火尖槍).

A couple of golden wheel adornments are attached below his sandals, undoubtedly referencing Nezha's Wind Fire Wheels (風火輪).

In his alternate skin Rowdy Boy, Li Ling's hair turned bright pink and he sports a long, black leather coat.

While still showing off his bare chest, the coat is secured by several buckles around his waist.

He still wears wide, semi-translucent pants, however more in the style of wide jeans than hakama.

The pants are fastened by a black belt with a chain of black, spiky ornaments.

Additionally, Li Ling's spectral arms turned a more purple color, and the hands are covered in two pairs of black fingerless gloves with spiked bracelets.

Rounding out the look is a pair of pink tinted glasses, giving him more of a neon-punk look with sharp contrasts between black and bright pink.

His weapon and wheels also reflect this change.

Fearing Nothing: The youth's ambition knows not the heights of heaven nor the depths of the earth.

Six arms in motion, he passes through heaven's gates.

Filled with passion, he crosses the mountains and rivers, fearing nothing.

Career 1: Might is the only way to persuade the arrogant Li Ling!

You'll hear his blazing wheels before you see him coming.

Li Ling cuts an imposing figure as he rides around on his wheels of fire, with four extra arms floating around his back...

He's a born rebel. He has never followed the rules and has been a constant headache for his mentors and superiors alike.

They've tried everything to reform him, but nothing has worked.

He only respects and responds to strength.

It's been said that when Li was ten years old, he was able to cleave the Tianmen Mountains in half, allowing a road to be build directly to Tangton.

From that point on, his name resounded throughout all of Grandis.

It will take someone really exceptional to guide this young man.

Career 2: Li Ling is proud of his strict, forthright instructors and like-minded peers.

Only Raven was able to keep him in check at the Esper Academy.

Because of all of Li Ling's transgressions, she developed "Raven's Forty Rules" just for him.

Despite his constant rule-breaking and attempts to test her patience, under her tutelage, he slowly grew to understand what it meant to be a hero.

At the academy, he met people who shared his interests.

He frequently trained and sparred with Lewis.

Tang Xuan served as their referee as they put their strength to the test.

Although he was too stubborn to admit it, having friends and a mentor in his life meant a lot to Li.

Career 3: The young master is a brat, but that doesn't diminish his resolve to protect the people.

As the youngest child in his family, Li Ling was thoroughly spoiled.

He grew up overly-sheltered and protected, which led to him developing a self-centered view of life.

Li Ling was not selfish, however, it was just hard for him to make friends.

He never though about other peoples' opinions, and he never compromised.

He always found himself in trouble because of these impulsive decisions.

However, he was also stubborn in his quest for justice.

Li was driven by a deep desire to protect people.

He recognized that, as an Esper, he represented hope to many.

To be a hero, he knew that he must put the interests and safety of others before his own.

Career 4: Compared to destroying the Tianmen Tunnel, the future as an Ops-Chief holds infinitely more possibilities.

Even after becoming an Ops-Chief of the Esper Union, Li Ling did not change his reckless ways.

He simply was unwilling to be bound by rules or limitations.

Although he's still a loose cannon, that doesn't stop him from being a hero.

With justice and hope in his heart, he wants to use his divine powers to protect those in need.

What happened at the Tianmen Mountains all those years ago means very little to him now.

He believes in the coming days that he will open more paths for other people and for himself.
