Odette (Skadi) is an Epic Shimmer character in Dislyte. Odette (Skadi)'s role is Controller. Faction: Esper Union.

Odette: Coming from snowfields, she shows no mercy to Esper criminals!

Odette is a scavenger from the Union. Born in the snowfields, she is well-versed in skiing and hunting.

Although she has a strong sense of pride and is hard-mouthed, some people find her quite attractive.

Following similar aesthetics to other cryomancers, Odette's design largely consists of a mix of white and blue colors.

Her esper transformation has seemingly only changed slight aspects of her appearance, namely her fingers, which glow an icy hue, her snow-white eyes and slight white portions of her hair, as opposed to her natural hair color of purple.

Staying consistent to the divine origins of Skadi, Odette sports snow mountain-esque gear such as hiking boots, snow goggles, and a heat-insulating jacket.

Under her goggles, Odette wears a white and blue striped beanie, largely covering Odette's hair, save for her white bangs, and otherwise purple hair.

Attached to the goggles is a small snowflake ornament, again reaffirming the ice motif.

The most notable aspect of her design however, is the large, puffy white jacket she wears partially unzipped/unbuckled.

Underneath, she dons a black, full-body thermal suit.

Affixed to the base of her throat is a similar snowflake as the one on her snow goggles, with another pendant she wears hanging slightly below.

Additionally, her white and blue snow boots have the same snowflake ornament affixed onto them.

Lastly, she carries on her back a blue sleeping bag.

Alongside this, Odette wields a spear tipped with presumably her ice powers.

At the opposite end, a crown-like structure caps off the spear, likely referencing Skadi's marriage with Njord.

Interestingly, the strap near the crown contains lettering that spells "Lilith".

Snow Shot: Each time Odette passes lightly across the snowfields,

freezing wind upon her face,

she remembers her ransacked home,

her parents now departed.

The icy gales cut like a knife into the scars upon her heart,

and so, she raises up her icy gun.

Career 1: Her Prey Will Never Escape At the lodge, Odette picks up a drink that instantly turns cold upon her touch.

She turns and walks out to the slopes.

Her friends try to greet her warmly but are met with a frozen nod.

With her goggles up, one can see that fierce, icy look of hers.

It's cold enough to make anyone shiver.

Odette grew up as a free soul in the snowfields.

Rather than thinking about how to be social with people, she prefers going camping, hunting, and skiing.

But when a new Esper criminal is spotted in the city, Odette is always the first one to respond.

When she receives a task on her communicator, she just grabs her ice spear and dashes to the crime scene.

With the powers of Skadi within her, Odette is always ready to hunt down any crook.

Career 2 / Refusal Of Company: As a Scavenger of the Esper Union, Odette's missions are often dangerous.

However, she refuses to work with anyone.

She'll use her sharp icy spear to intimidate any enemy.

The frozen layers of the spear's hardened ice match her attitude toward her opponents.

Given to how brutal Odette is to her enemies, Laura often worried that Odette isn't suitable for the job.

Even when Laura deliberately creates opportunities for Odette to team up with others, Odette always refuses.

“I don't need anyone's help!” Odette would say, right before heading off alone to hunt down her next target.

She struggles to get along with others, but she doesn't care.

All Odette cares about is avenging her parents.

Career 3 / Laura Reaches Out: A few years ago, several criminal Espers killed Odette's parents over the food rations.

She was the only one who survived. Filled with fury, Odette swore to hunt down the culprits.

Laura was concerned that Odette was consumed by hatred.

Yet she stubbornly pushed Laura away.

When Odette found herself in danger and trapped in the enemy's camp, it was Laura who arrived just in time to save her.

“Don't be like them.”

In the end, Odette managed to capture her parents' killers, resisting the temptation to kill them on the spot.

With that, she was able to put her tragic past behind her.

However, Odette stubbornly refused to thank Laura, but at least she now treats her as a friend.

Career 4: Getting Along With Companions.

“The ends don't justify the means.” Laura once said this to Odette.

She now understands what that means.

After bringing her parents' killers to justice, Odette finally let go of her hatred.

She has converted all her anger and pain into the strength she needs to uphold justice.

These days, Odette is fully devoted to her work as a scavenger.

She no longer refuses to team up with other, nor does she push her colleagues away anymore.

Many Union members have discovered that there is a warm heart beneath her cold exterior.

Though she still looks intimidating, whenever someone asks her to chill their drink, she will gladly oblige.

Perhaps the ice in Odette's heart has begun to quietly melt away.
