Is Taylor (Hercules) good?

Taylor snowballs off kills, getting an extra turn and blocking the target from being revived every time he finishes an enemy off. His Soul Blast buffs his own Attack and crit rate while stripping enemy buffs, and if he doesn't manage a kill that turn, ascension refunds some of his cooldowns instead.

His other attack hits harder the more HP he's lost and shields him in the process, but overall he only rates a C.

Strengths

  • Extra turn and denies revival on a kill
  • Buffs himself while stripping enemy buffs
  • Hits harder the more HP he's lost, with a shield attached

Weaknesses

  • Falls off when he can't secure kills

Profile

His birthday is May 7, 1992, and he stands 200cm tall.

Background

Demolition Fist: It is a habit of engineers to seek to get to the root of the matter, Taylor is no exception.

Rather than simply relying on divine power, Taylor seeks to control it.

With concentrated divine power in his wrist guards, he can shake the earth with a single blow.

This is the true proof of his might.

Career 1 / It’s a weird sight...: It’s a weird sight, the hulking Taylor, blushing like a little child, taking scolding from the petit logistics officer.

I’m sorry, he says, I didn’t mean it.

Beneath the brute force of Hercules, Taylor in fact possesses a highly sophisticated mind.

He’s a weapon engineer, and the first thing he tried to make is a power control system for himself, in case he accidentally damages people or things.

The system works, generally, albeit lacking somewhat in precision.

Every now and then, Taylor still breaks things, and tries to make up for the fault with heavy lifting work.

He doesn’t complain. He’s doing good work, and the process itself makes good exercise.

What’s not to like?

Career 2: With power comes responsibility.

Being an Esper and an engineer, Taylor is needed in various rescue missions and disaster sites all the time.

The problem with Espers is that there are too few of them.

Taylor is looking for ways to enable regular people to protect themselves against Miracles.

With that in mind, Taylor started to develop Miracle weapons.

Career 3: Creating weapons effective against Miramon is no easy task.

The Union has been extra cautious with such projects ever since its Transformation experiment ended up in failure.

Taylor insisted her project is feasible.

Everyone in the Union was skeptical about it, but nonetheless decided to give her a chance.

Thousands of failures later, Taylor managed to produce a prototype weapon against Miramon.

It stands no chance against a real Esper, but regular, non-Esper people actually defeated Miramon with it, and that is the important part.

Career 4: There’s a helping heart inside Taylor’s menacing body.

Taylor’s presence tends to induce stress in people, partly because of the burley physique, partly the obsessive mind.

The success of the prototype showed people the considerate and prospective side of Taylor.

She made more friends, ones that she could discuss engineering stuff with.

Beside constantly perfecting weapons against Miramon, Taylor is now making gadgets for fun and gift colleagues with her creation.

These novelties are quite sought after.
