Is Esper Zero good?
Esper Zero dumps most of their damage into two moves, the Ultimate and the Skill, rather than sustained attacks, and that burst grows naturally over a run as they pick up more Awakening Effects. Since that burst is also their strongest source of damage overall, they work best as a Sub-DPS who can prop up an early-to-mid game team rather than someone geared toward the endgame.
Their preferred gear reinforces that burst-and-recharge loop: an Eclipse-based option speeds up Ultimate energy against groups, and a stat-scaling accessory rewards staying above half HP, which a unit that only comes in briefly tends to do anyway.

Esper Zero is a playable Cosmos character and the main protagonist of Neverness to Everness.

Esper Zero is a generally kindhearted person.
They are always willing to lend a hand, both to their friends and to complete strangers.
Still, they do not let people walk all over them.
