Colonel Charface

Colonel Charface

SSRStrengthMain DPSA tier

Introduction

Colonel Charface is an SSR Strength character in Sea of Remnants. Colonel Charface's role is Main DPS. Faction: Ravensk.

Sea of Remnants isn't out globally yet, so this page is from the Chinese release. No global date has been announced.

On our Sea of Remnants tier list Colonel Charface is A tier, 9th of the 23 characters ranked. Strong against single bosses: damage climbs as health drops, so a shield or damage reduction has to cover the low-health burst.

Other Strength characters in Sea of Remnants: Papa Tonino, Princess, Puppeteer, Sword Carver and Voyager.

Is Colonel Charface good?

Colonel Charface is a Strength damage dealer who trades health for damage. Every 5% of HP lost adds 5% damage, and dropping below 30% triggers Malice, three turns where Charface can't collapse, hits harder and refills Energy.

Use the Personal Skill to drop HP and gain Greed, then fire the Signature Skill inside the Malice window, ideally with spare Energy pushing its grade up.

Strengths

  • Huge single-target burst inside the Malice window
  • Can't collapse while Malice lasts
  • Personal Skill doesn't end the turn

Weaknesses

  • Malice triggers once per battle, and low HP afterwards is dangerous
  • Needs a shield, damage reduction or timely healing to work
  • Not for early progression with no protection

Stories

Crew story I

Staff officer of the Daybreaker fleet, and a master at making money.

Every street corner has a rumour about the shady businesses he runs. He chases the sea hamsters all over the place, swallows their cargo, then sells it off at a premium out on the reefs.

"He'd pull out your gold teeth and melt them into coins." Those in the know kept their voices low. "He's probably trying to fill the hole in his head with gold!"

"Any merchant ship that tries to get one over on him ends up confiscated, whole ship and all, as 'military procurement'." The old folk of Ottopia still shudder at the thought. "He'll eat you down to the last splinter of bone, and his books will still be cleaner than a prayer book!"

Crew story II

A dog that turned on its master: he got rich doing the dirty work, then bit the hand that fed him and ran off to the Princess. Every time the king thinks of Thomas, he spits.

Without Thomas to run them, the king's shameful businesses barely make a coin, and the king can only watch, green with envy, as Thomas still plays both sides of the law.

But Ottopia was once obsessed with another secret: Thomas's family was wiped out in a suspicious fire, and the shadow behind it seemed to point at the throne itself.

The gossips had been looking forward to a good revenge drama, but Thomas let them down.

When he reappeared, he was wearing a cold smile and standing behind the king, loudly declaring his loyalty.

The king accepted it, and was well rewarded.

The treasury's ledgers were handed to this greedy servant, and within a year the surplus had tripled. The castoff had become the king's new favourite.

Then the Princess appeared, and Thomas abandoned the kingdom without a backward glance and followed her aboard the Daybreaker.

Who knows what he really wants? What fills the hole in his head best: gold that's there for the taking, or the thrill of revenge after years of lying low?
