Sariel's real value these days is as a Grace association, one of the best links in the game for boosting another unit's damage by ignoring a slice of the target's Crit Defense whenever a crit lands, which is why he pairs so well with Light 'The One' Ultimate Escanor or Dark Purgatory Meliodas. Used directly, his Tornado and Twin Wind Blade skills still hit hard thanks to good crit chance on his ultimate, and Power Strike makes him a solid option against Hraesvelgr.

His own crit chance outside the ultimate is low for today's standards, so his Holy Relic, which triggers off landing a crit, is basically required, and his Angelic Volition unique only helps Goddess allies while he's actually on the field, not from the sub slot. He's fallen out of top PvP relevance and gotten replaced on the best PvE teams, but he still farms well and holds up through most Death Match and Demonic Beast content. We rate him S tier.

[The Four Archangels] Sariel of Tornado, also known as Re Sariel, was a featured unit in the Ocean and Tornado banner (January 12, 2021 - January 26, 2021), along with Blue Tarmiel.

Unlike Tarmiel, whose primary focus is providing defensive capabilities to his team, Sariel is a purely offensive unit with a degree of utility.

His kit allows him to deal a lot of damage to his enemies, having a higher Crit Change when attacking, dealing extra damage based on enemies' resistance, or increasing his allies’ stats when joining battle (and his stats if he has his Holy Relic).

He’s usable in all kinds of content, either as a frontline unit or as a link, thanks to his Grace which provides a lot of damage dealt.

Sariel is one of the Four Archangels from the Goddess Clan and is a commander of Stigma alongside Ludociel and Tarmiel.

Stigma was an alliance formed between the Goddess Clan, Giant Clan, and Fairy Clan, with humans joining later on, to battle against the Demon Clan 3,000 years ago during the first Holy War.

After the Demon Clan’s seal is broken, the four Archangels (without Mael) found human vessels to inhabit and reform Stigma with the Giants, Fairies, the Seven Deadly Sins, and the Kingdom of Liones.

Due to his involvement in both Holy Wars, Sariel has Associations with Elizabeth (for fighting alongside her in both wars) and Derieri (for helping to purify her when she became an Indura in the first Holy War).

Along with the Goddess Clan, Sariel lost his physical body in order to seal the Demon Clan at the end of the first Holy War.

He ends up possessing the body of Solaseed, a young woman who is dying of an incurable disease that he cures in exchange for her letting him use her body to fight the demons.

Sariel possesses the Grace of Tornado, which allows him to control the wind (similar to Howzer’s magical ability Tempest).

He is able to produce powerful gusts of wind to slice through or blow people away or create a wind-like sphere around him that he uses for defensive purposes to shred anyone who is trying to get close to him.
