Dossier #01: Dream Job

Gates, dungeons, and magic beasts became a part of daily life, and the dreams of the young also changed accordingly.

It had become a world in which, if you asked any student what they wanted to be, nine out of ten would respond with "hunter."

Han Song-Yi wasn't any different from other kids her age.

The lavish lifestyle of high-ranking hunters they showed on TV was enough to make the heart of the average girl flutter.

Like it was destiny, Han Song-Yi was able to take one step closer to her dream of becoming a hunter the year she turned nineteen.

It was just like the stories on the internet: one day, all of a sudden, she felt the sparks of a power within her and she knew that she, too, was an awakened being.

Han Song-Yi was tested right away. She was an E-Rank.

It was the lowest possible rank but it was enough to participate in raids.

Dossier #02: A Girl's Realization

Han Song-Yi looked around for a team to join, but no one would take an underage E-Rank into a dungeon.

She went to join the Hunters Association as a last resort, but she was told "Come back when you're an adult."

But Han Song-Yi didn't give up, and she finally found someone who would help her.

There was a strange stipulation in the contract: she couldn't actually participate in the raids, but she would just be there to fill the headcount outside of the gate and be paid a set amount.

She knew that participating in nineteen C-Rank raids would help her reputation.

After participating in 18 raids, Han Song-Yi gained confidence after seeing the performance of Sung Jinwoo, who was an E-Rank hunter just like her.

The idea that she could become a great hunter because rank isn't that important kept the fire going in her soul.

But returning safely from the Red Gate was nothing short of a miracle.

She never wanted to experience that terror again.

That was the moment she realized Jinwoo could only do what he did not because ranks weren't important...

but because he was Sung Jiwoo.
